Author's note: This is kind of like a sequel to Rain but kind of isn't. Enjoy my spur of a moment thing.

Harry looked around him. Bodies were scattered all over Hogwarts, which was the place where the

final battle took place. Looking around he recognized friends among the bodies. The glanced in front

of him where the so called Dark Lord lay dead, his lifeless eyes the green of his youth, not the red

Harry had come to fear in his nightmares. Harry remembered so clearly what had come to past just a

mere five minutes ago.

FLASHBACK:

They were sparring with swords, Voldemort with a royal looking one, as black as the night with rubies

on the hilt the color of blood and Harry with the sword of Godric Gryffindor. Both were bleeding from

heavily from various wounds, Harry more so than Voldemort but both wouldn't give up. Then

suddenly Ron, from the midst of the battle around them shot a hex at Voldemort, distracting him

enough for Harry to with the last ounce of his strength plant the sword, hilt deep into the dark lord's

chest. A heavy black thing with evil eyes rose from the body of the dark lord, screaming

nooooooooooo before disappearing forever, never to be seen again. Harry looked down upon the

man he killed, now no longer the dark lord but the human once called Tom. Tom, with his green eyes

looked up at Harry and with his last breath whispered, "Thank you………..for freeing me".

END OF FLASHBACK:

Everyone left standing stood where they were and for a moment time stood still. So many had fallen

for the sake of peace and so much more wounded. The sky opened up and started pouring on the

blood drenched field. Harry raised his face to the sky and slowly sank to the ground. He felt himself

drifting away into the darkness and with a smile of peace on his face, left the world quietly in the midst

of his most favorite weather, rain. Finally he thought, I'll be as free as the rain, way up high.
