Authors Note~ Hello everyone, I understand that songfics aren't everyone's favorite and to be honest I don't like them very much myself but after watching the episode "I remember you" on Adventure Time a song popped into my head about Marcelline and The Ice Kings (Simons) Relationship and how I would feel if I was her. So I hope someone somewhere gets some enjoyment out of this! P.S. it will be rather short ~CandiedBurns

I waited for you today
But you didn't show
No no no
I needed You today
So where did You go?

"Don't you remember me at all...Simon?" She knew he didn't yet Marcelline still hoped, wished that he would. Where would she be without him? And yet the fact that he didn't remember her made her almost hate him. She needed him back, she needed Simon back, what they had was irreplaceable.

You told me to call
Said You'd be there
And though I haven't seen You
Are You still there?

Sure The Ice King was in her house, he always found her, but he wasn't the same man. He had once promised to make it through things together. The crown erased him and the promises he once held.

I cried out with no reply
And I can't feel You by my side
So I'll hold tight to what I know
You're here and I'm never alone

But he was here, he just didn't it. Because Simon is the Ice King, even if he is unaware, somewhere deep inside he still exists. She had to believe that, because without him she would be lost.

And though I cannot see You
And I can't explain why
Such a deep, deep reassurance
You've placed in my life

Marcelline knew that Simon was alive somewhere in there, even if he didn't show, even though the crown and all its powers have taken over. He meant so much to her and she would never forget him.

We cannot separate
'Cause You're part of me
And though You're invisible
I'll trust the unseen

She was positive that Simon was there, and she would never let anyone convince her otherwise. As long as the Ice King was alive so was Simon, and she would never face the world alone.

I cried out with no reply
And I can't feel You by my side
So I'll hold tight to what I know
You're here and I"m never alone
