A/N: Sup folks, this little oneshot was an introduction for my OC in a roleplay and I thought I'd just post it here. Enjoy. :D

Alice pressed her face to the car window, watching the scenery blur by.

"Are we almost there yet?" she asked, whining a bit.

Her mother glanced at her, "No, you'll know when we are." She turned back to the road. After about a minute, the bridge was in sight.

Alice pointed frantically at it, "There it is!" Her mother rolled her eyes at her daughter's excitement. As they neared the bridge, they were stopped at a check point. Her mother showed the guard her new ID, and they were waved through. Alice looked down at the water as they drove over the bridge.

When the car stopped, she got out, gazing at the new facility… well, facilities. On one hand, she was excited, on the other, she was frankly a bit sad. The old Arkham had been like a second home to her, she knew the ins and outs of the place like the back of her hand. "Ah well…" Alice thought as she looked around.

"Come on Alice." Her mom said, taking Alice's hand.

She blinked and looked at her mom, "Sorry, coming." she said, pulling her hand from her mother's grip. Ms. Li laughed at her daughter's little gesture.

She followed her mother through the door, "Past, the point of no return." she sang quietly under her breath as they passed the threshold. Once she entered, she felt a familiar atmosphere of madness and despair.

"Well something's familiar." she muttered. Gazing around at the cold, mechanical looking interior, they were supposed to wait for their guide in here.

She heard the screams and other sounds of the patients within the maximum security hall, "Whoo! Something else familiar." She muttered again, smiling a bit. Her mother heard the screams as well, but unlike her daughter, she shuddered at the sound. They suddenly heard footsteps approaching.

"Hello, I am Dr. Leland…" she paused, recognizing Alice's mother. Ms. Li smiled, recognizing the woman as well.

"Joan!" she said happily.

"Lisa!" they hugged each other.

"Long time no see." Dr. Leland said, smiling.

"Same to you, how have you been?" Ms. Li asked.

Alice sighed, knowing that they were probably going to be catching up for a while. She looked around, noting that the door leading deeper into the Asylum was still open, she glanced around, the guards were talking to each other and not paying attention. She quietly snuck behind the guards, heading towards the open door. She looked back to make sure she wasn't noticed, and with that, she moved quickly, stepping through the doorway.

"Score." she whispered quietly. She glanced around, getting her bearings, it was a long hallway. At the end, she knew that was where the cells were. As she moved down the hallway, the noises got louder, but still she moved. "It's even louder then Arkham Asylum… comes with having more people I suppose." she muttered. She took a deep breath before exiting the hallway.

"And here… we… go…" A new arrival has entered the asylum.
