I found this when I was looking for something to do with my art coursework in My Documents. Thought I may as well finish it. A little bit of a catfight. And then some snogging. And then a very…well I'll let you read it, yeah? xxx
Rose versus Martha
Rose wandered into the TARDIS to find a young black woman lounging in her favourite chair, feet up, a book propped on her knees, and a huge air of smugness surrounding her. Her hair was held back in a ponytail, little strands of hair casually framing her soft features, as a little smirk flitted across her lips.
"Hi," she said "I'm Martha Jones." Her voice was light, airy, and polite.
"Hello," Rose replied also politely, smiling. "Rose Tyler." She held out her hand. Martha didn't take it.
"I'm sorry," she said, her forced politeness becoming less convincing by the second as Rose strolled towards the corridor leading off the control room "But only friends are allowed there."
"Yeah? And what would you know about a relationship with the Doctor?"
"I'm his girlfriend." Martha told her, scowling "I've known him for years!"
"Right…"
"Are you…?"
"Contradicting you? Pretty much."
"Well I am! He loves me!"
"Sure. I'll believe that when I see it. Did he actually say that?"
Martha faltered for a second.
"Ha!" Rose said triumphantly "His girlfriend. We'll see about that."
She grinned at her, and marched into the ship. Rose felt the TARDIS murmur happily as she skimmed her fingers along the corridor, calm and welcoming. At least someone had missed her. As sure as she was that Martha was lying about the intimacy of their relationship; he no doubt valued her hugely as a friend but nothing more; Rose couldn't help but being a little worried about the complete lack of interest from the Doctor. She had thought…but maybe, like Martha, she was mistaken…?
"ROSE!!" the most beautiful voice echoed down the corridor, nearly cracking with suppressed emotion, and seconds later, it's owner appeared, and Rose felt her face split in a smile. Her Doctor. He picked her up, swirling her round in a bone crushing hug, sobbing into her shoulder, repeating her name over and over.
…………………………………………………….
Perhaps it was his yell that had awoken her from her reverie and brought her to the corridor where the Doctor and Rose were. Maybe she had stalked Rose there to see her crush's reaction. Not, of course, was there any feeling in return, as she must have known for a long, long time. Whatever, and however she felt, Martha was not pleased to walk down said corridor and find the pair snogging each others faces off. Not at all pleased. Ah well. You can't have everything.
Guess who wins! Note: I don't have a hate against Martha (I like her more now she's engaged though!) I just prefer Rose. :P
