A/N: I found myself, all week, thinking about Lerdo's drabble "Wake me Up When September Ends" which you can, and should, read here - chapter 74 of her amazing set of drabbles/double drabbles and ficlets - 'All That Lies Between Us'. Dammit - read all the chapters! That's amazing writing folks – the kind that won't leave you alone no matter what you do! A thought had been forming for a while and crystallised on seeing Lerdo's piece. This resulted. With massive thanks to Lerdo for inspiration - I hope this isn't imitation, but is still flattering - and to thisweirdness for fab beta!

She straightened, muscles groaning, and wiped her forehead on the skin exposed between latex glove and cotton sleeve.

Four tables away, another doctor stretched, and eyes as tired as her own took moments to focus on her face.

She was unable to acknowledge the woman who so plainly reflected her own despair and dread.

Everyone in the warehouse had that look, but she had no comfort to offer.

Ashamed, she leant back over her table and, with a shaking fingertip, continued to sift for bone fragments in the dust.

She is certain Brennan remembers that day, almost seven years ago.

She is certain neither of them will ever mention it.

All reviews gratefully recieved...purlease pretty please.

A/N in case it is unclear, I am alluding to Cam and Brennan meeting during a sift through the dust of 9/11. We know Brennan spent 2 months doing it, and it occurs to me that Cam may well have been a coroner then, although her timeline is somewhat more ambiguous.
