Gentle Promise
Is there such a thing as eternal love?

This is something I wrote a very long time ago, hope you like it….

He stands besides me
He says he loves me
"This gentle promise" He says
"I will keep"
But then he leaves
I cry and weep
I can't bear to live any longer
"God is merciless" I say to myself
I sob once more
I awake bye someone shaking me
As I open my eyes I see him
I see his onyx eyes
His ebony locks falling on his porcelain skin
"Naruto, what's the matter? You were crying in your sleep" He says his voice velvety.
I stare at him wide eyed
"Sasuke?" I whisper, unable to believe such a horrible feeling could be just a simple
dream.
"Who else would it be?" He responds
I can feel warm tears begin to fall down my cheek as I embrace him
"Oh Sasuke," I say, choking in between sobs
Sasuke unknowing of the nightmare I had , he slowly wraps his arms around me protectively
"Shhh," He says
"It's okay, now please stop crying" He begs me
After I've calmed down, I noticed where I was
Without knowing he'd moved me on to his lap
I sniffed, I could feel the warmth in him as he held me close
I rest my head in his shoulder feeling a bit light headed
I could only imagine how I looked at the moment,
In my childish pajamas with the ridiculous hat he and I once fought over me wearing.
I looked up at him.
My eyes wide like saucers , tear stains on my cheek, eyes possibly red & puffy
"Sasuke, do you love me?" I asked
Sasuke looked down at me as if I'd grown two heads
And said, "Of course I love you"
"Why would you ask such a stupid question, dobe?"
Realizing what the dream was about, Sasuke pulled me closer to him
"Naruto, I do and always will love you, and nothing, not even that snake Orochimaru will
ever make me leave your side" He said, kissing my cheek
Leaving me to blush.
"Really?" I asked , not completely believing him
Sasuke chuckled responding
"Yes Naruto, believe it"
Before I could say anything Sasuke's lips caught mine surprising me for a moment before
I began responding to the kiss
The rest of the night I slept peacefully with Sasuke by my side.

lost contact a few years back.
