She has bright eyes. Like the ocean below them. Not like ice. Not now.
They're brighter when she smiles (at him).
Then she does. For the first time?
"Charlotte Lewis."
He's heard the name before. He must have, right? He's heard her introduction. Strong, brisk, decisive. (Beautiful?)
She tilts her head down, eyebrows up. He hasn't replied.
"Daniel Faraday."
"Daniel Faraday," She tests it out. It sounds nicer when she says it, but he already knew that, too.
Her smile is sad, turned down around the edges. It wasn't like that before (before?). No, he doesn't think so.
And now she's waiting for something. And now she realizes it isn't going to come.
"Nice to meet you," He says it first.
"You, too... Daniel." Disappointment. It's gone—or she masks it—and she smiles again. The smile he's seen before, pointed towards him.
She walks away first, and all he's left with is some strange, twisted sense of déjà vu.
A/N: Long time no see, eh? Yeah, sorry for the terrible title. Reviews are the best, I really appreciate them. Thanks for all of the great reviews I've already gotten, guys! :)
