Teddy caught himself staring at the moon most nights and dreamt of his parents often, when he wasn't wide awake wishing they were with him. He wanted to see his father's face in front of him and kiss the scars that covered it. He wanted to make the worry leave his eyes and replace it with the love that never left his heart. Teddy wanted his mother to hold him and though he favoured the colour turquoise, Teddy's hair was usually the same pink shade hers had been.
A picture of Remus and Nymphadora rested underneath his pillow, untouched for months for he couldn't look at it without an ache in his chest. Teddy found that he was like them in more ways than he thought. He discovered more as Harry told him stories about their short lives. His godfather didn't mind, because he too spent his childhood wanting to know more about the family he lost.
He inherited his mother's unique ability as a Metamorphmagus. He was almost as clumsy as everyone had described her to be and was sorted into the Hufflepuff house upon arriving at Hogwarts. He hated to be in the middle of trouble, like his father. He was smart, quiet, and didn't mind being alone. He would never truly know them, but their faces were etched in his mind forever.
