Disclaimer: I do not OWN Inuyasha if I did you'd all have seen grown up Rin. All rights belong to Rumiko Takahashi.

A/N: It's a series of drabbles. Not fiinished yet. No more than 5 chapters maybe. And please forgive the grammar or mispelled words. I've already run it through an online grammar and spelling checker.

"Don't let out any sound. Understood?" Rin's father last command rang in her mind.

She tossed and clamped her hands on the ground. The squeals, pleads, and cryings were running inside her childish mind.

'Do not scream. Do not whimp' Rin was saying to herself in her dream. Yet that did not prevent the tears from streaming down her face as fast as a waterfall before crashing to the earth. She curled up into a ball and bite her lips. She was not going to allow any sounds escaping from her lips.

A soft breeze on his left brought along a salty and earthy combination scent that put him on guard. A close inspection, he was able to determine a mix of tears, blood and dirt.

'Rin'. A voice stated inside his head and got him up instantaneously.

Sesshoumaru strolled up to the girl's sleeping figure. Rain was lying on her right side, her small hands clutching her Haori at her chest and her knees fairly touched her damped cheeks. The usually relaxed, happy face was now shattered. Teardrops raining down and mixing with red on the corner of her lips.

The daiyokai frowned slightly. Even though his expression did not change in the depths of his golden eyes confusion started to dwell. Rin was having a nightmare. A extreme vivid one. But why is she was having a nightmare she did not wake up? Why was not she screaming her throat out?

Still contemplating the reasons; Rin's body jerked up violently. It was not a pleasant image. A small pond of her blood and salty tears was left to be absorbed by the ground.

Suddenly the answers appeared one by one written inside his head: The girl was fighting against her own demons while she slept. It was obvious, despise her annoying childish prerogatives and silly games Rin tried not to be a burden for any of them.

Rin had been proving her strength by smiling, singing and enjoying everything around her and not just because her own sake. No, but also for the sake of those who were not at her side.

He had been such a fool. He had thought that after defeating Naraku all the troubles will be over. However Rin was not completely healed.

"Rin…" his clawed hand rested on top her head. His fingers started running up and down her ebony strands. He kept doing it. Watching carefully until the tears stopped. Her teeth let go of her lower lip and her knees lay on the grass.

At the realization of the previous thoughts and reactions made him ponder his next move. A cold way to see it. He was the Lord of the West. He had made up his mind.
