Collapse
You've done it again
You've reached your imminent collapse
The food and sleep from which you refrain
Has caused your good health to lapse
Once again I catch you
Force you into bed
Stay nearby to see you through
Send others in our stead
I plead with you to eat and rest
And eventually you give in
I don't know if it's due to my request
I'm only glad healing can begin
I watch as your strength returns
You are soon looking as well as before
As if there was never any cause for concern
But I beg you not to do that anymore
And you give your promise as you always do
I accept and you're off to chase the next clue
I only wish that your promise was true
But the next time you fall I'll still catch you
My first poetry attempt here, please tell me what you think.
