It was always a scary thing when the MacManus brothers got into fight. But it was even scarier when they got into a fight with each other. Even though they were brothers, when they fought, they fought and there was no breaking it up.

This had only happen twice to anyone's knowledge.

-

The first one happened after an extra long shift. As soon as they had entered McGinty's, the tension filled the room like a virus.

No one knew the exact cause of it, only that it must be serious for these guys to have slid into stools that weren't side-by-side. No one knows exactly what made them snap, they only saw Murphy drain three shots in quick succession and then lunge for his brother.

The fight was bloody and their fists unforgiving; flying anywhere there was an opening. There was no strategy or planning; only a primal battle for something that no one in that bar, besides the brothers themselves, could see.

The end only arrived after neither could lift their arms or legs and were in too much pain to care any more.

They came in the next day with their arms around each other and wide grins spread across bruised and broken faces.

-

The second time, the MacManus' entered the bar cursing at each other in a language no one knew.

"I'm not gonna deal with this right now," Conner snarled at his brother as he turned and took a stool.

"Don't you dare turn you fuckin' back on me!" Murphy suddenly roared and grabbed his brother by the back of his shirt and threw him to the ground. He straddled his brother and his fists started to fly.

A kind man tried to separate them, however he was awarded with severe blows to his face and gut courtesy of both the MacManus twins and ended up in the hospital for two days nursing a concussion and three broken ribs.

Murphy continued to beat on his brother; however the situation was eventually flipped, with Connor on top and shouting curses in all the ways he knew how. And then, just as suddenly as it had began, the brothers just stopped and lay on the floor, panting and sharing a cigarette and bleeding all over the floor Doc just had waxed.

It was always a scary thing when the MacManus brothers got into fight.

There was only two occasions that any know about. Any time it's brought up, the brothers share a glance and a smile and change the topic.
