Hey! This is my first Gakeun Alice fic! This story is actually based on a dream I had. Anyways, this first chapter I thought of it while listening the main title from The Day After Tomorrow soundtrack. Although I hate that movie, I love the music!

Alice Summer Camp

Intro

Going far from town, and away from home.

"This is the story of when everybody thought things would go great; things went wrong."

Far from home, and into the big city: Tokyo.

"Just when things seemed like heaven; everything turned into hell."

Entering the grounds the huge school grounds that no normal people go to.

"Alice Academy is a school for kids full of supernatural talents. Elementary, middle school, even high school and teachers.

"And everything is put into groups according to their Alice ability types. Latent types, Technical types, somatic types, and even dangerous types.

"Then there's special type. And that's where I'm. Me, Mikan Sakura, age ten going on eleven. That's what it's like to have the Nullification Alice. I'm the only elementary kid in the Special Ability type class. Although, most of the time I'm with my elementary friends in all the other classes.

"Nobody is aloud to leave Alice Academy, or even see or talk to somebody outside the school grounds, which is very big. But one day, we got our wish. My friends and I got our wish to finally leave Alice Academy for summer break."

"Haturo!" Mikan Sakura sat down on the step next to her best friend and looked at her closely. "Is this what you will be going, Haturo? Inventing stuff all summer."

"It's all I can do," she answered while keeping her eyes on the object she was making."

"Haturo and I have been best friends since the 3rd grade. Even though she can be kind of heartless and mean, she's actually a really good person, and cares about me deeply. And her Alice is to invent stuff."

Mikan looked ahead of her and smiled as usual. "But I want to do something different. You know, things that we use to do before we ever came to Alice Academy. Like playing outside, going to summer camp, swimming. All that normal fun stuff."

"If only you were normal."

"What's that suppose to mean!" "See what I mean? She can be so insulting to me. But I know she's doing it out of love."

Mikan looked ahead again. "I really miss Grandpa. Why can't we go visit our family during summer break?"

"Mikan, Haturo!"

Mikan saw her friend Yuu running up, but they just called him Prez. "What is it?"

"Something's going going on at the school gym."

"The school gym? What is it?"

"I don't know, something important about this summer, hurry!" he ran off.

"Something this summer? Are they going to put us to work or something!"

"Everyone's excited!" Prez let out as he kept on running.

Mikan suddenly smiled and turned to her best friend. "Did you hear that, Haturo! Something exciting! I'm so excited! Let's go see!" She stood up as she playfully grabbed her friends arm, trying to pull her away with her."

Haturo got annoyed at times when Mikan went crazy over things, but it was her smile that always kept her going. Eventually, she stood up and walked with her best friend.
