CHAPTER 1
It all started when I was walking around the outskirts of our home into some new areas. I heard there were unexplored areas and it made me curious enough to take a look around. I've even heard there's a secret area with an open field, with actual sunlight and a beautiful view. I went on my own humming a tune, walking around exploring these beautiful caves. I kept exploring until a tiny flash of light blinded the corner of my eye. I turned back to see what could've created such a small beam of light. I retraced my steps and noticed a crack in the wall with a bright light seeping through. I tip toed and looked inside of the hole and it was so bright I couldn't make out what was on the other side of the wall. Next to me was a few big rocks. I grabbed one of them and began cracking away into the wall, revealing more light. I chipped more and more away until I made a hole small enough for me to crawl through. I crouched down and stood up finding myself on the other side of the wall. When I looked ahead down this tunnel I noticed a small path leading to what looked like a gate. I walked up to the gate and saw more light. The light at the end of this path was so bright it lit up the entire cave to shimmer against all the crystals and minerals all around the walls creating a pretty light show. I continued walking down the path, and as I came near to what looked like was the end, I tripped over a rock and fell into something soft. It gasped, breathing into what smelled like flowers! I looked up and I was right, there were flowers everywhere! I gazed at the beautiful site in awe for a few minutes, walking through the soft field. Falling into the huge field of flowers I began laughing and smiling while rolling around the entire area. I made flower angels in the ground, flower crowns, even flower bouquets for my mama. I told my mama about the area and she thought it sounded heavenly. I began making regular trips back to the secret cave. I would stay there for hours, drawing and coloring, while looking up to the hole in the ceiling of the cave, getting glimpses of the sun during the day, and shining stars by night. I woke up an early morning, excited to go to the secret cave and witness the sunrise and see the cave grow bright. I grabbed my drawing book, some pie, and a water glass. I hurried and crawled through the small entrance, seeing it was still dim. I knew then I hadn't missed the sunrise! As I walked towards the field of flowers, I heard twigs rustling and breaking. I stayed behind a rock to see what was making the noise. Then all of a sudden something had fallen from the hole in the ceiling into a thick flower bed creating a big splash of flower pedals all over the cave. It was still a bit dark so I couldn't make out what fell into the cave. It might have been a rock that fell from the ceiling, so I walked over to the thick pile of flowers where it fell. Pretty soon the sun began lighting up the cave as I walked over. I made it to the spot and only saw something green with something that looked like shiny brown hair. Eventually the sun had fully risen quickly and the sunlight grew into the cave, making it clear what the object that fell was. I was looking over and it looked like some kind monster!
