a short poem i wrote a while back relating to the part of the original book where the phantom gives Christine the choice between the grasshopper and the scorpion.

Grasshopper or Scorpion?

Grasshopper or Scorpion?

Life or death?

Choose the grasshopper and you will find death is not always that sublime.

But choose the scorpion and you are mine.

Mine to hold.

And mine to cherish.

So are you the bride of the phantom?

Or would you rather perish?
