I'm Fine

"Draco, are you ok?"

"Yes, I'm fine." Harry shot Draco a skeptical look.

"You sure everything's fine?"

Draco gave an exasperated sigh. "I'm sure." He tried to return to the book he currently had in his hands.

"Well, if you need to talk or anything, I'm here," Harry supplied as he looked out the Gryffindor Common Room window.

Harry was worried Draco wasn't telling him something or that something was bothering the young man. Draco hadn't said much at breakfast that morning, nor was he talking now. He had only said good morning and gave short, choppy responses. Yes, he did sit at Gryffindor table for breakfast, and yes, he was currently sitting in the Gryffindor common room with Harry, but Harry couldn't seem to shake that feeling. So, he did what he thought was needed and tried to prod some sort of information out of Draco. Sadly, that plan wasn't going so well.

"You really sure?" Draco's face was painted with annoyance as he looked at his boyfriend.

"Harry, if there was something wrong I may have told you already," he bit out. "And why would I not be sure if I was fine?" Harry didn't know what to say.

"Um, well, but you haven't really talked much today so I just thought maybe something was wrong. Or.. something," he finished lamely. Draco just stared at him evenly.

"Maybe I don't have anything to say right now." Harry felt as if he'd been slapped. Why hadn't he thought of that?

"Oh. Yeah, I guess I never thought of that." Cheeks burning red, Harry turned back to his essay, reassured that Draco was indeed fine.
