The sword clatters out of reach just as its owner, Austria, is flung to the ground, the so-called 'practice fight' long forgotten. Prussia's evil, triumphant smirk just grows wider as tears well up in the corners of Austria's eyes. His eyes gleam with a murderous look. By now, you could barely tell what is tears and what is blood on Austria's face, as they are both mixing together. Prussia plucks the glasses that had somehow stayed on the entire fight off of Austria's face. Carefully, he breaks them, and then he carefully picks up the shards of glass from the floor.
Prussia kneels next to Austria. "How would you like to die today?" He presses a shard of glass to the pianist's cheek. "The slow, painful way, or the quick and easy way?" Prussia presses harder, and another cut is formed on Austria's face.
"W-why are you doing this to me?" Austria asks. "I know you've always hated me, but why...why have you decided to...to kill me?"
Prussia stands up and looks in the mirror, not too far from where Austria is. "You know what you did." His voice is dangerously calm.
"No, I don't."
"Liar!" Prussia snaps. He snatches the mirror from the wall and throws it Austria. It shatters, and the fragments just cause Austria even more pain. "You liar! Tell the truth, and maybe I'll let you die quickly."
"I am telling the truth." Austria coughs up blood. "T-tell me what I did." He tries to reach for his sword, but starts to cough again as Prussia picks it up.
Prussia pins down Austria so he cannot get up. "You stole Hungary from me," Prussia says quietly. "And she didn't even take a second glance at me. You made her fall in love with you! It's all your fault! I may have acted like we were rivals, but that's what I had to do! I was afraid that if I told her that I liked her...Never mind! It's all your fault, and that's what matters!" He hold Austria's own sword to his throat. "Prepare to die."
"I'm sorry, Prussia. Don't ki-" But Austria is cut off as the blade slices his throat.
Prussia laughs insanely. Not the usual 'kesesese' insane, but an insane that frightens people.
You sick, twisted person! A voice inside of him shouts. You're enjoying this! You're enjoying seeing the light leaves his eyes! What kind of person are you?
"He deserved it," Prussia answers. "He deserved having all the pain I was put through when he stole her from me." A tear slides down his face and lands on Austria's, tracing a single clean line through all of the blood. "He deserved it!"
You're evil! You're completely evil for thinking murder was the solution!
Prussia actually starts to cry harder. "I-i am evil, aren't I? I-i can't believe I did this!"
Go on! Go die! Die just like the rest of the world wants you to! Nobody loves you! Go die!
Prussia holds Austria's blade to his own throat. "I deserve to die now."
The room falls silent. No more breathing, no more crying. Just death. Just death and the eerie message written in the foggy window.
'No mercy.'
