A.N. Each stanza of this poem is a limerick. The first stanza is an intro and the final stanza is an epilogue. Each of the other stanzas refers to Che's work in a specific Hawaii Five-O episode. Can you figure out each episode? Good luck!
Ode to Che Fong
A forensic scientist named Che
Works tirelessly night and day.
'Cuz Five-O won't rest,
'Til the culprit they best.
So Che, in the lab he will stay.
A party, a cake, a guitar
Ended badly with an exploding car.
The burnt out remains
Challenged Che Fong's brain
'Til he found a small tube in the tar.
While examining Benny Jalor's loot,
Dan found a small notebook, to boot.
Was the handwriting Steve's?
This, Che seemed to believe
But with Jalor, Steve would never cahoot!
Stealing air cargo: a scheme
That involved an answering machine.
But Che's boxes that beep
Let him, its messages keep
And Steve's idea worked like a dream.
Dan Williams was dumped from a truck,
With no memory, he seemed of out luck.
"With horse dander," said Che,
"Dan had contact today.
Perhaps from a horse he was bucked."
Dan discovered a bomb in the ceiling,
Which sent the rest of Five-O reeling.
With the help of Che Fong
Dan defused that bad bomb,
Right before another revealing!
A psycho, Cerberus by name
Tried to drive his psychiatrist insane.
Che found all his bugs,
Even one in the rug
Then beat the man at his own game.
The lab was with newspapers strewn.
This perp really must be a loon!
But the evidence, clear
Had been so very near
Since Che always reads 'Judy Moon.'
While searching a boat filled with fleas,
Dan found the ship's logbook with ease.
He looked rather tense
And asked Che, "How's your French?"
Said Che, "About as good as your Chinese."
Be it thumbprint or voice print or hair,
Che Fong does his job with great care.
"Gentlemen, we must face
That Che's work solved our case,"
Steve's a big enough man to declare.
