I issue a challenge for any writer to be able make a story that is kinda like this….
Rule one – Ash is about 14 when he starts his Pokémon journey
Rule two – he is a specialist in fire Pokémon with a cyndaquil as his starter or he can specialise in any type as long as he starts with a cyndaquil
Rule three- no made up Pokémon and no legendries
Rule four - if you give ash a pairing make it seem believable to the reader so no harems I'm afraid haha
Personally I think it would be pretty cool to make the cyndaquil shy and only opens up to ash a lot of persistence and ashes part
I would also like you to make him an elite four member but steadily grows in power so that he can finally take the champion spot if you want you can add in time skips showing ashes growth
