How can it be that in just a few moments, your whole view of a person can change. Previous feelings and judgments, instantly wiped clean, leaving behind nothing but a burning fire.
The last note left their lips, faces inches away from the other, breath that had been robbed from them finally coming back in heaves. Sebastian stared at the girl, Santana. A fire burned brightly in her eyes, much as it did in his. The friction of their duel lighting the spark and leaving the air crackling. The ebb and flow, power of two equal forces clashing. He'd finally met someone equal in skill. An equal... the thought was strange and enticing as it circled round his mind.
"I was better." Her smug voice broke back into reality. Sebastian was suddenly aware of the grin that had been resting on his face and took half a step back. He was supposed to be the villain. So he would be.
"You weren't even close." He turned away, smile fading away completely as he strode over to the rest of the Warblers who were entering as he spoke. One of them was carrying a red cup, as expected. Sebastian almost felt bad about what he was about to do next.
"I was better." She repeated irritably, not willing to let it be. All remorse was gone from his mind. This was going to be priceless. "Now tell me the truth, what did you put in that slushy?"
Sebastian took a deep breath as he strode away confidently "Rock salt. But it's okay."
Santana stopped a few paces behind him. "Why is it okay?" He stopped in front of his schoolmates, taking the slushy in one hand, his other still in his pocket. She was making this too easy. "I just told you Blaine had to have surgery."
"It's okay because I didn't put anything in this one." An instant later, Santana was drenched in sticky, cold, red slushy. Her mouth hung open in shock as shivers ran over her. Sebastian Smiled to himself. Priceless.
It was short and unimpressive, but i just needed to get that out of my system. Maybe someone will actually like it, who knows?
