A.N.: I wrote this for Casey Hess. I hope you like it :)

Draco couldn't believe he had been such a fool.

After years building up defenses against his emotions, he would loose it all for none less than Loony Lovegood.

He discovered that after caughting himself thinking, multiple times, about the truth in he last name. Maybe she did love good. No, no! Bad Malfoy! No tea for you today!

But what if he spoke with her...just one time...what if she didn't knew him?

Later that day:

"H-Hey Luna..!" it would be great if he could not stutter, but the Universe just hated him.

"Oh. Hello, Draco Malfoy." And the thesis that she didn't knew him just flushed away.

"So...are you well?" The awkwardness was goes on.

"It depends"

"On what?" She is really confusing in times like this, but she always has a marvellous retort hidden somewhere.

"On what you define as well" With this, she just wanders off again, probably heading to class.

She is, indeed, wonderful. No, stop it! No more sighs for the most amazing, beautiful and mad lunatic of the school! But...what if she doesn't knows she is awfully cute? What if she doesn't understand that even the unicorns pale next to her pale golden hair?

I need to speak with her again.

She is speaking about stars and Thresthals, but my mind left me alone at the exact points where she touchs my skin. I look at our hands, and I am seeing the most magnificent picture I could ever get: the blue sky, the fluffy clouds, my hand, and hers holding a part of me, the one I use the most.

Maybe she will understand.

Maybe she won't.

But I am in love with her.

After these golden opportunities, I just stand the next weeks gazing from afar. I observe her habits, what she likes, what she doesn't.

I watch how she is constantly untangling her hair.

I marvel at the way she ignores what she doesn't want to hear.

I imagine if she would be happy with me.

Luna left the Great Hall earlier today. I quickly follow her into the Forbidden Forest, her usual spot for the times when she feels lonely.

"...people can't notice how amazing my friends are, but they will always find something to mock them. It is not fair, but life is not fair, right? You are proof of it"

People like the ones she was talking about would think she was insane by talking to creatures, but I don't care, because the Thesthrals respond to her voice, maybe even to her words.

It's time I tell her this. As I did.

After a monologue, marked by my hesitations, I slowly lean towards her, gently kissing her forehead. She must know how much respect and admiration I have for her, even if this is filled with my desire to protect such an innocent soul.

She does
