Sparring
Clang! Tenten's kunai were deflected by Neji's Kaiten.
'Damn! Why can't I just land one hit on him? Is ONE hit too much to ask?' Tenten thought to herself. Neji, picking up on her frustration, looked at her questioningly.
"What's wrong, Tenten?" he asked her with concern showing in his pale eyes.
"It's nothing." Tenten muttered, annoyed.
"Tenten, if you don't tell me the truth right now, we're done sparring for the day." He said, starting to feel irritated.
"Fine, leave then!" Tenten exclaimed. Before she could process what was happening, she was pinned to a tree by Neji's body. "Wha-" she started confused. She was cut off by his lips on hers. Her eyes widened in shock and she was blushing so hard that she looked like a tomato. Neji was staring at her, watching her reaction.
"Tenten, what's wrong?" he asked once again.
"You're so much stronger than me. I can't land a single hit on you. Why do you bother training with me?" she replied, her eyes tearing up. At her answer, he burst out laughing.
"Hey! I just poured my heart out to you and what do you do? You start LAUGHING!" she cried out angrily.
"Gomen, Tenten. It's just that I'm surprised, that's all. Tenten, it isn't easy for me to dodge your attacks. Since you know all of my weaknesses, it is much more difficult to evade your weapons. You ARE Konoha's Weapon Mistress. Besides, I like training with you."
"Why?" Tenten asked curiously.
"Because," he leaned closer and whispered in her ear. "I love you." He smiled gently at her.
"Really?" Tenten was in shock.
"Of course!" At that, Neji crushed his lips to hers again. Tenten melted into the kiss. Only Neji's body pressing her to the tree was keeping her up. As they kissed, they forgot the world around them. Nothing mattered to them anymore. All that mattered was each other. The bushes near them rustled, but neither Neji nor Tenten noticed. Lee and Gai were quietly cheering from their vantage point in the bushes.
"How youthful!" Lee whisper-yelled.
"My youthful blossom and unyouthful genius have finally found youthful love!" exclaimed Gai.
"Gai-sensei!" Lee interjected, tears streaming down he face.
"Lee!" Gai exclaimed, tears running from his eyes as well. As the two crazy spandex wearing ninja ran into the random sunset, Neji and Tenten hugging each other like they would never let go. And they wouldn't.
