Slaudia4eva wrote a closure fan fiction and I am going to miss Claudia/Sarah and Clauson so much. So, I felt it would be good for me too, to write one.

Claudia stood in the middle of her living room, taking in every sight that she could lay her eyes upon. For it would be one of the last times she would ever stand in it. Claudia married Sonny for business and it wasn't supposed to get as complicated as it did or last as long as it did. She fell hard for him, they created a baby, they lost a baby, and they were planning on conceiving another one. But, after what Claudia overheard today she thought better of it. Just a few moments earlier she overheard Sonny telling his father, Mike that he felt he had an obligation to giving her another child, and that's when she knew that it all had to end. She wasn't what he wanted; she was what was keeping him from what he wanted. That day was the beginning of the end.
If I Should Stay
I Would Only Be In Your Way
She walked up the stairs and began to pack her bags, tears falling down her face. She was going to go back to Italy, go back to her family, and find someone that could love her unconditionally and give her a child that they both indeed wanted. Claudia didn't want to leave Sonny, she wanted to make it work. But, she consciously knew that this marriage and family with her wasn't what he wanted and she couldn't live with that, because it would pain her, and she was done with pain. So, she'd leave Sonny, wish him the best, tell Johnny that she'd always keep in touch and visit him, and she'd start over, but she would never forget the first man she ever fell in love with, and he would always have a special place in her heart.
So, I'll go, but I know
I'll think of you every step of the way
And I… Will Always Love you, ohhh
Will Always Love you, you
My darling you, mmm
Claudia finished packing and sat down on her queen-sized bed thinking of some of the memories Sonny and her had. There weren't many, but there were enough to keep her going. She thought of the first day they met and how neither of them knew just how complicated their uncomplicated situation would get. She though of all the times he'd saved her life and rescued her from her father's rage. She remembered the proposal, the wedding, the sweet cat and mouse game kisses. She remembered when she proved her loyalty and when Sonny wouldn't leave her to die on the rough of a warehouse building. She remembered how he dismantled the bomb with his bare hands, how he held her tightly when he realized she was okay and alive, and how they made love for the first time that night. She remembered all the times they had amazing sex; something she would never, ever forget. She remembered getting pregnant, it wasn't exactly an accident, but she learned to love her baby boy with everything she had. She remembered them feeling the baby kick and how happy they were, then when he held her hand during the ultrasound. She remembered losing the baby with him and how they consoled each other. She remembered when he asked her to come home and how whole she felt. Then she remembered when he agreed to have another baby with her. That smile and the way he held her hand to lead her upstairs would be a memory Claudia would never forget. She would take all of these memories with her and never forget any of them.
Bittersweet memories is all I'm taking with me
So, goodbye, please don't cry, we both know I'm
Not what you need. And I will always love you, I…
Will always love you. And I will always love you, I will always love you
Claudia made a few trips up and down the stairs to retrieve all of her bags, and she placed them in the hall, and then she waited for Sonny to return. She wasn't sure how she was going to say goodbye to him. It would be hard and she was so afraid that he was going to try and convince her to stay, and she would give in, when she knew that she shouldn't and couldn't do that. The living room doors opened and Sonny entered with a puzzled look on his face, Claudia sat up off the couch and walked towards him. "What's going on?" He asked curious.
"I'm letting you go," She answered in a whisper, her voice cracking a little.
"What are you talking about Claudia?" Sonny asked a little annoyed, "you don't have to go, I mean what about the baby?" Claudia's eyes tiered and she went to wipe at them quickly, hoping Sonny didn't notice, even though he already did.
"You don't want a baby with me Sonny, and you don't want a life with me either. So it would be better for the both of us, if we stopped pretending and let go," She explained to him. He dropped the papers he was holding on the desk and gave her his full attention.
"What would make you say that?" He asked, wondering where all of this was coming from.
"Sonny, I know that you only want to give me a baby because you feel obligated too, I heard you tell Mike so," She began and Sonny took in a deep breath, "I don't want you to do anything you don't want to, and we want different things. I mean we knew that this marriage wasn't going to last forever, so I feel it would be better if we just cut our losses now, before we cause each other anymore pain." His eyes tired a bit as he realized that he messed everything up and that she was actually more than he deserved.
"If this is what you really want," Sonny began clearing his throat so his voice wouldn't crack, "then I will give you a divorce and let you go." He looked down at the floor, unable to look her in the eyes. Tears came harder down her face and she embraced him in a hug. He held her tightly as if he didn't want to let her go.
"I wish you all the happiness in the world," he whispered into her hair.
"Me too," She sniffled and they both let go, and she cupped his face, "you will find someone who will be able to love you and give you everything you want, I know you will."
"And I know you will too, Claudia," he managed to choke out, "and I know that when you have a baby you will be an amazing mother."
"Thank you," She cried out a bit. They both stood there drying their eyes and they began to laugh a little. He would miss her and she would miss him, always and forever.
I hope life treats you kind
And I hope you have all you've dreamed of
And I wish you joy and happiness
But above all this I wish you love
"Promise to keep in touch?" Sonny asked, hoping he wouldn't lose all contact with her.
"Yeah, I'd like that," She smiled. He smiled back, showing off his dimples to her for the last time. She dried some more tears and then cleared her throat, "Well, my flight leaves in a few hours so I better get going."
"I'll walk you out," Sonny said walking her out the door, "Max, take Claudia's things to her car, please."
"Yes, boss," Max agreed, carrying Claudia's luggage to her car. Sonny walked her outside to the gate and they both leaned on it and waited. They both let out a few breaths and neither could say anymore. But, Sonny needed to ask one more thing.
"Can I kiss you goodbye?" He asked her. Claudia's head spun towards him and she was a little taken back.
But, she nodded her head and whispered, "Yes, of course." They slowly walked towards each other and their faces came closer and closer, and then Sonny bent his head down and captured her lips with his own, giving her what would be their last deep and passionate kiss. Claudia wrapped her arms around his neck, and Sonny wrapped his arms around her back, pulling her closer to him. They both broke free, gasping for air; their eyes tearing again.
Claudia cleared her throat and whispered, "I love you Sonny Corinthos," and then she kissed his cheek. His eyes bulged a bit out of his head and he was tong tied.
And I Will Always Love You
I… Will Always Love You
I Will Always Love You
"Your car's packed," Max budded in, bringing Sonny back to reality.
"Goodbye Sonny," Claudia whispered. Sonny grabbed her hand and kissed it.
"Goodbye, Claudia," He whispered back. He let go of her hand and it fell to her side. She smiled a bland smile, then walked through the gate and out to her car. Sonny couldn't believe what he was about to do, but he knew that it was what he wanted, and for once, something he wanted had to do with her. "Claudia!" He called out. She turned around to face him, tears bawling out of her eyes, "I love you too." She smiled brightly, tears lighting up her face, and she blew him a kiss. He caught it and blew one right back to her.
Then, she turned her back, walked to her car, got in, and drove away, leaving Sonny to stand alone, once again.
Five Years Later
Claudia strolled through a small park in Milan, with her beautiful baby girl, Isabella Marie Zacchara. She hadn't found anyone special, even though she looked far and wide, and she so wanted to have a baby. So, she went to a sperm bank and got pregnant and one year ago, gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, and she couldn't have been happier.
Sonny hadn't found that special someone either even though he also looked far and wide. He tried with Olivia, Alexis, even Carly, again. But, no one ever understood him the way Claudia did. So, Sonny strolled through a small park in Milan, taking a break from the business he was conducting on this very boring business trip, when he saw her. She was still as beautiful as the last time he saw her, blowing him a kiss in his front driveway. He stared longingly at her and noticed that she was wheeling a stroller, and inside the stroller was a little baby girl, about a year old, with her pitch black hair and beautiful brown eyes. Sonny realized that she had the baby she had always wanted, and as if the same thought had just entered her mind, she looked up and saw him standing there.
I, I will always love you…
You, Darling I'll always,
I'll always love you…
(I Will Always Love You – Whitney Houston)
"Hi," She whispered to him.
"Hi," he whispered back.
