A day in Faerieland.
The door to the bookshop opened as the petite faerie came in. She walked up to the stack of books that was ready to sell and she put them on the shelf. This was her routine for the day. She came to the bookshop, unlocked the door, put stacks of books up for sale and put the money away. Sometimes she wished that she could have some help around the place, but that was no possible. She wondered often how so many pets had gotten to this place since it was in the clouds. Did they fly here? Did they come in a plane? She loved the clouds and often went to lunch with her faerie friends in Cloud City. She loved Cloud Nine where they served the best faerie food. After an hour of working she went outside and found that there were other faeries outside talking to one another in an excited manner. She being the curious one went over to them.
"What's happening?"
"They are going to put up the Rainbow Fountain back again."
"They are? Why are they going to do that?"
"I don't know."
She wandered down the street and bumped into her friends.
"Did you hear that they are putting the Rainbow Fountain back up?"
"Yes, I just heard. Illusion and the soup faerie are coming up here too."
"Why would they do that? This isn't a part of their
world?"
"I don't know. Maybe they wanted to come up here?"
They walked over to the site where they were going to put the fountain.
"I heard from someone that the only way the pets are going to get painted is to complete a quest. I don't know if that is true or not, or which faerie it's going to be."
"So the pets are not going to get painted for free. Well, I guess that's good. Does anyone know if petpets can get into the Fountain, or is it just the pets?"
"Don't know. My guess would be just the pets. "
"When are they going to put it up?"
"I think this week."
"I've got to go back to work."
"Okay, goodbye."
"Goodbye."
She walked back to her shop and flipped the sign that said closed over, so that it would say open now. She imagined all the people up to Cloud City wanting to complete the quest. She imagined all the money that she would make with all the pets coming up here. Maybe she could redo the shop with the money. She cleared her mind as she went back to putting the books for sale.
The End.
