[Three years have passed since the death and downfall of Makoto
Shishio. The so called 'Kenshin Gumi', as Myojin Yahiko so aptly named it,
has settled into a placid and cheerful environment. Lately, Shinomouri
Aoshi has come to pick Miss Makimachi Misao up to bring her back to Kyoto.
Himura Kenshin has been growing tired of this lifestyle and desires a
change.]
Kenshin: Aoshi-kun! I see you have come for Misao-dono. She has been asking for you for quite some time now.
Aoshi: That's nice to know. Most people have dreaded my coming, where ever it may be. Still, she is far too naïve. She knows nothing of my doing.
Kenshin: Ah well, still, Misao-dono doesn't seem to mind. You'd best go talk to her though, before she gets angry. [Sweat drop]
Misao: [being restrained by Kaoru] WHERE IS AOSHI-SAMA! I MUST SEE HIM!
Kaoru: [Misao breaks free from Kaoru's grasp] Misao-chan, wait!
Misao: [sees Aoshi] AOSHHHHHI-SAMAAAA!
Aoshi: Nice to see you Misao. I think we should get our things together and take our leave. We do not want to be a burden any longer.
Kenshin: [laughs] You are no burden. We would love for you to stay with us, at least one more day that we do.
Misao: Oh pleaseeee can we stay Aoshi-sama! Please? I still have to buy you a souvenir from Tokyo!
Kenshin: That would be excellent! [To Aoshi] You and I can fulfill our promise from back in Kyoto.
[Enter Megumi and Kaoru]
Kaoru: How about us girls go into Tokyo for a day of sight seeing and shopping?
Misao: Oh! That would be wonderful! I can buy Aoshi-sama's present while we're there.
Ochika and Omasu: That would be lovely!
Megumi: I'm sorry, but I must decline. I don't feel like babysitting two brats like you.
[Misao and Kaoru look angry]
Kenshin: Now now, Megumi-dono, you shouldn't be so rude to our guests. [Hesitates] If you go with them, it would make me very happy, that it would.
Megumi: [Presently blushing] Well, if you put it that way Ken-san, I'm sure I can take just one day off to enjoy the sites.
Kenshin: [To Aoshi] Come my friend, you must be weary from your travels. We shall take a rest inside, where it is cooler.

[Exit Kaoru, Misao, Megumi, Ochika and Omasu]
