In The Town Where I Was Born

Rodney has painted a submersible jumper a certain colour that has the rest of the crew singing.

"Now we've had all the results back I think we can get the drilling platform back working," said Rodney

"Good, take whoever you need with you and see if we can get some information from the Wraith cruiser," said Elizabeth

"Take Lorne with you he started his SGC career as a mining engineer he could be a big help," said Sheppard

"So you're not coming with me?" replied Rodney

"No he's not, I have other plans for John" said Elizabeth with a scowl. Rodney decided not to ask, the mood Elizabeth was in could see him joining Sheppard in whatever it was that Elizabeth had planned.

"Still it'll give me a chance to check out the modified jumper and I've given it a coat of paint, to make it easier to find if we should get lost," said Rodney.

The team Rodney had assembled to join him on the platform were waiting for him in the jumper bay

"Ok so we're all here?" he said "then follow me". They followed him to the Submersible jumper and stopped in amazement

"It's...yellow" said Radek

"Yes I painted it this colour so it would be easy to find if we got lost, that whole sinking-jumper-Sam-the-whale thing gives me nightmares" he replied.

"But yellow" said Radek, Lorne was trying and failing not to laugh as the team got in the jumper. Rodney got in the pilot's seat and took off; Lorne had given up trying not to laugh

What's so funny Major?" he asked with a huff,

"You know what you've created McKay," he said

"Yes I've created a submersible jumper that can be seen by any ship rescuing us should the need arise" replied McKay.

"No, you've built a yellow submarine," said Lorne with a laugh

"Oh yes, yes I see it now" said Radek. Rodney groaned

"Don't you dare" he said as Lorne and Zelenka started to sing

In the town where I was born, lived a man who sailed to sea, and he told us of his life in the land of Submarines

And the rest of the team joined in
