The stepsisters have a story to tell Cinderella. They haven't always been so shallow, ugly, and cruel, and their names weren't always so awful.

From: Anastasia Tremaine,

Dear Princess Ella,

I have first, an apology to make, and then next, a story to tell. It's too long of a story to cram into one envelope, and Drizella must write some of it too, so you'll have to wait a while to get the whole story.

First, the apology, though. Drizella and I are terribly sorry for everything we've done, for all that we've put you through, for all the anger and resentment we held against you. Our fear, as is explained in the long story we are about to tell, is not an excuse. We've done horrible things to you, Ella, and you have every right to just throw this letter into the fire and forget about us forever.

But Drizella and I would like to tell you the story, Ella. Not for the sake of giving us an excuse, but for the sake of telling you that you were never really alone.
