It was a nice,calm and quiet evening at Camp Half Blood. The war was over. Apollo had become immortal again and had returned to Mount Olympus. Everything was back to normal.
Piper lay her head on Jason's chest,feeling content and happy. They both rarely got to see each other because Jason was busy going between the two camps,so moments like this were precious. Just the two of them sitting near the lake watching the sunset.
Her thoughts trailed back to the war where there was so much bloodshed. All of them had suffered so many losses. Jason had almost died. She remembered the moment like it was happening right now. Just when all of them had almost lost hope that he would be alive, Jason had opened his eyes. It was a miracle. Piper had cried with relief then.
Now she smiled,knowing that nothing could harm her boyfriend now,that he would be safe from all harm. Knowing that it all was over.
"A penny for your thoughts?"asked Jason,smiling,snapping her out of her reverie.
"Nothing,just thinking about us",Piper answered,"And how nothing can come between us anymore."
"Yeah,I'm so happy the war is over,it feels so nice,just the two of us",said her boyfriend.
Piper didn't respond,just turned and kissed her Sparky,thinking that she had all she wanted,just the two of them,by the lake,watching the sunset. She wanted nothing more. She had her paradise.
