A long forgotten branch of magic that stems from the nobility of the ancients, at a time when only a select few could harness the wild magic and bend it to suit their purposes. It is magic in its purest form- — dynamic, untamable and ever-changing.
"A Comprehensive History of Magic," John Baker.
Few have studied it and very little literature has survived. It has been labeled, for all intents and purposes, as a dead branch. But magic is not alive and never has been and therefore cannot die. It is not dead, only forgotten.
"The Forgotten Arts," Humphrey Coben.

The depth of emotion felt by a mother towards her child is unparalleled by any other. Amazing acts have been performed by many a mother who is desperate to save her child. Shows of phenomenal strength and speed have been witnessed at times of great duress. Many mothers will go to great lengths to protect their children and that, in itself, is magical.

The jet of green light came whooshing towards her and hit her square in the chest, asand she hoped her baby would be okay. I love you, Harry.
He watched dispassionately as she fell to the ground, her long red hair splayed out in front of her. A slight smile played at the corner of his lips as he strode towards the cot. He would be truly unstoppable now. The baby's green eyes looked up at him in wonder and his lips curled in distaste.
