A/N: This takes place before Littlefoot and his gang were born; it was back when all their parents were young teens. Littlefoot's grandparents are referred to by their real names; since they aren't grandparents.

A plague has hit and destroyed every bit of vegetation of Sunset Valley; the herd all gathered together to look for another home. The herd consists of two footer and four footer leaf eaters of all kinds. There was one flyer who was a trouble maker; Pterano. He got on the nerves of one particular individual, Topsy.

"I heard that someone who craps in your mouth brings you good luck," Pterano said.

Topsy growled.

"Or a stomach ache," Topsy retorted, sticking out his tongue at Pterano.

Jenna's mom was seen chuckling while her dad groaned in annoyance and rolled his eyes.

"It's not that funny; my sister used to do that to me when we were kids; what a way to start off an otherwise crappy day," Kenneth explained.

"Come on, dear; don't be a party pooper," Miriam joked.

Jenna looked up at her parents and groaned; then, she looked over at Topsy.

"They're arguing again," Jenna told him.

"I think it's the heat; I'm feeling it too," Topsy claimed.

"And maybe hunger; I'm starving," Jenna responded.

After hours of walking, the herd came up to a watering hole. However, a herd of wild clubtails claimed it was theirs.

"Come on guys; we're thirsty here; if we could please just get a drink," Topsy complained.

The brown clubtail leader with grey eyes growled at the young threehorn.

"You guys can't drink from here; this is our water; now beat it," he snarled.

"You beat it," Topsy retorted.

Worried murmurs were heard from various members of the herd. Just then, a brown clubtail identical to the leader came out with a few other clubtails of various colors and jumped the threehorn. After that was done, Topsy was lying down on his stomach and groaned in pain.

"Those boppers; they were everywhere; all I wanted was a drink of water," Topsy moaned.

Just then, Theresa wandered over to Topsy. She looked down at him; her eyes were narrowed and she was frowning; and the fact that she suddenly got quiet scared him; even some of the grown ups were tense from it.

"Topsy; I realize your intentions were good; but, mouthing off to the leader of that herd was inappropriate; from now on, you're gonna walk by my side until we reach the Great Valley," Theresa scolded.

"That's so not fair; I asked if we all could get a drink; but, those clubtails refused to share," Topsy protested.

"Well, those clubtails aren't my children; I am your mother and I say you're not walking with your friends for the remainder of this trek," Theresa retorted.

Topsy sighed.

"Yes, Mother," Topsy said.

Theresa smiled.

"Okay; remember one thing, dear, I still love you just as much as I love your sisters; but, that doesn't mean I won't punish you when it's necessary," Theresa explained.

Topsy nodded.
