The Final Match
They each watched each other carefully, understanding just what losing their concentration could mean.. It was more than just a game or just some numbers-- this was an intense competition between teammates.
Yagyuu, Sanada, Kirihara, Niou, and Yukimura. They were the only five left, Marui, Jackal, and Renji having been put to shame already. They simply stood idly by, watching things progress.
Sanada had the advantage. One by one he'd put them on the spot, a swift match being collected from each, putting him one closer to winning each time. He was a man that played with his honor on the line after all, and Sanada's honor was a formidable thing, that. He turned at last to Yukimura, the true captain of this team, his intentions set on winning.
"Buuchou," he said solemnly, seriously. "Do you have a five?"
They all looked to Yukimura, do or die, yes or no. Yukimura smiled.
"Go fish."
There was cheering and high-fives as Sanada added another card to his hand. Even Sanada had to smile in spite of himself, still enjoying the game. A team was still a team in the off season.
