One Word is enough
You held me back when I wanted in
Your arms began to unfold on me
Tears weren't enough to get you back
I was hoping you wouldn't say it
I begged you
I gave you everything your heart could hold
Time was only a distraction now
For the time we spent together I cherished
Sometimes I wish you would've felt the same
As I sit here writing this
Each word that I see
Appears as your name
The harder I held the pen
The longer it took me to control myself
With each word came out a tear from my eyes
I know you're with someone else
I dream of being that other person
You're too much for me
These six years have stabbed me repeatedly
Each one going deeper then the next
Why couldn't you have told me that I was suffocating you?
I would change just for you
Without you I have no direction to go in
I'm scared to be on my own
Lying in bed I dream a new scenario with you
But you still refuse to hold my hand
All you had to say
One word was enough
