The Part You Were Born to Play

The hatch of the recently docked Shuttlepod 2 slid open. The voices of the occupants discussing last night's movie offering drifted out.
"All I'm saying is that those guys couldn't act their way out of a paper bag."
"Like you know anything about acting," Ensign Mayweather complained. He had been responsible for last night's selection and wasn't taking the criticism of one of his all-time favourite films too well.
"I've been in lots of plays." Trip was defensive.
"Being in the kindergarten nativity when you were five doesn't count as acting, Commander."
"I'll have you know my shepherd was very well received."
"Personally, I've always thought there was one part Trip was born to play," said a third voice.
"Well, thank you, Malcolm. It's nice to know someone believes in me."
"What part's that, Lieutenant?"
"Back end of a pantomime horse."
