Gazing up at the spotted blanket
So vast and dark
Wishes whispered
As shooting stars passed by
Spica laughed heartily
Her hair dancing in the night wind
Virgo fixed her with a stern glare
The virgin sitting dignified on her cloud
Leo gave a joyful shout
Shaking the heavens
Upsetting Nigel's chess match with Adelbaran
Sirius gamboled, amused at his friend's defeat
Polaris was drinking with Antares over at Castor
Orion along with Pahn
Were deeply disappointed with the uncouthness
Virgo nodded
Spica pouted
And rushed to Leo's side blowing raspberries
Sirius gave a mere chuckle as slurred songs rang
Out to the gods
"Mr. Lion..." murmured the little girl. "I can't hear—"
"Listen harder kiddo..." he said, absently waving to the sky.
Spica and the others looked down
Upon the little girl with compassion
The wind had a hint of beer
"I hear it! I hear their song!" she exclaimed. "But Mr. Lion...I have lost my star."
"Over there kiddo..." he said and placed a gloved hand on her shoulder.
