From one disaster to the next, you could say that Anastasia was almost destined to die. But can a series of unsuspecting turns in life and a couple of boys later young men change her life? Maybe even save her? Or will the keeper still get her life? TH-OC

Preface:

The roaring sound of the wind filled my ears. It's cold, shivering breath slammed me in the face, running amidst my already untamed hair. I looked below, at the thousands of meters of gap between me and the face of the earth- solid, unmoving ground. Neon lights lit up the dark overcast city, decorating it, blinding it, shielding it from the darkness that was lingering in the shadows. In contrast to the light, I looked above me at the beautiful sky of the night. The twinkling stars gave their blessings.

I sucked in a deep breathe of the chilly night air. All felt silent; all was calm- Even though I was in the heart of the city. I could feel the vibrations of the city, the nightly activities, the life of its people and the never ending traffic beating in harmony with one another, but the noise itself felt so far away. Somewhat muffled in my ears. I bend my knees, centering my weight on my feet and stomach. As I breathe out, spreading my arms wide on both sides, I took the leap and plunged down, diving straight across the darkness and flying straight through the night sky.
