A/N: I wasn't going to make this more than one chapter at first but I think now I will. Semi-songfic Nathan/Kelly based on Mumm-Ra's song "She's Got You High"

She's got you high and you don't even know yet

She's got you high and you don't even know yet

The sun's in the sky, it's warming up your bare legs

And you can't deny you're looking for the sunset

It was Simon's birthday. He, Alisha, Nathan, Curtis, and Kelly, had gone out to a restaurant and club, as per Nathan's suggestion. It was around one in the morning on a Saturday when they left the pounding music and lights and everyone but Simon and Curtis was pretty drunk. They had formed a sort of chain of support walking out (Nathan's arm was slung around Simon, who was also keeping Alisha walking, who clung to Curtis, who was practically dragging Kelly). Nathan used his free hand to pat Simon on his back and slurred, "Happy birthday, Barry."

Long since having gotten used to Nathan's not-even-close nickname for him, Simon allowed himself a small smile. "Thanks. It was… really nice of you to get everyone together like this."

"Hey, man, that's what…" He frowned as he tried to remember what he started saying. After a couple of seconds he started as if he had never stopped, "That's what friends are for, man! Anyway, Kelly made me do it."

Simon looked at Nathan with an interested look on his face. "I thought you don't take orders from anyone."

"Yeah, well, it's like… different with Kelly, you know? She makes me want to listen to her. I don't think the same with her as I do with everyone else."

Simon was almost one hundred percent positive that Nathan wouldn't be sharing this much with him were it not for the indecent amount of alcohol coursing through his veins. "So in a way…" He thought about how to describe it. "In a way she's, like, got you high."

Nathan frowned, thinking. "Yeah, man. I'm totally high on Kelly."

And, looking at their relationship, he was.

I'll probably update in the next day or two. :)
