AN: So yeah... i really am good at making Tyki an asshole... I swear it has a good ending but they have some bumps in the road... please don't hate Tyki... I love him to death... just... not in this story at some parts. Rated M for later chapters. Also there will be non con at some point in a later chapter. Like way later i think. JUST THROWING THAT IN THERE CAUSE PEOPLE GOT MAD LAST TIME EVEN THOUGH I PUT WARNINGS OF BAD THINGS IN THE CHAPTER THEY HAPPEN IN NOT IN THE STORY SUMMERY.
P. S. LOTS of Lenalee hating... I kinda don't like her...
"So how was work?" The question was voiced softly. The owner of the voice always spoke softly now as if afraid to speak too loudly and upset his husband. Allen sat to the left of his husband. His husband Tyki Mikk sat at the head of the table eating his dinner with a bored expression. When his wife spoke he didn't bother to look up at him.
"Fine." That ended the conversation before it even really began. With a sigh Allen resumed pushing his food around on his plate with his fork. It was rare for them to talk much anymore. Tyki was rarely home early enough to see Allen awake. Usually Allen was fast asleep in bed long before Tyki would come home, if Tyki came at home at all that night.
Tired of pushing his food around Allen excused himself from the table. The maid Mimi took Allen's plate from the table as Allen left the room softly closing the door behind him. Heading up to their room Allen grabbed some pajamas heading into the on-suite bathroom to take a shower. As the water warmed up Allen stripped of his clothing letting his waist length white hair down out of its messy bun brushing it out so it would be easier to clean in the shower. Stepping into the shower Allen closed the sliding glass door standing under the almost scolding hot water. He used to love showers, they were so relaxing but now, every time he stepped into the shower he would start to cry. Silently he would stand under the water letting the tears that he would hold back fall. Crying silently always burned his throat but he didn't want anyone to hear him cry so he held back the sobs despite the pain.
As Allen was washing his hair there was a knock on the door making him look over his shoulder even though he couldn't see the bathroom door because of the fog from the hot water.
"Y-yes?" Allen cleared his throat so he could talk properly even though his throat throbbed and ached.
"I need to brush my teeth." Tyki called through the door.
"Um... Okay just give me a minute..." Shutting off the water Allen stepped out of the shower drying off so he could get dressed. Tyki knocked on the door again a little impatient.
"Come on Allen I don't have all night I want to go to bed." Tyki grumbled a little annoyed with having to wait. It never used to be like this. Allen hated how it was now.
"Just...give me a minute." Allen pulled on his night shirt leaving his hair hidden in his shirt that reached his knees as he pulled on a pair of boxers before he opened the door for Tyki quickly scurrying past his husband to get into bed. Allen laid down on the left side of the bed further away from the bedroom door. Tyki walked into the bathroom shutting the door so he could get ready for bed.
The two laid in the bed together but both had their back to the other and had as much space between them as possible. It had been this way for about a year and a half. The strange behavior between the couple, if you could call them that anymore, was nothing new.
In the morning when Allen woke up he found himself alone in bed. Again nothing new. Tyki had gone to work already like usual. Getting out of bed Allen got changed making his way to the dining hall where breakfast was waiting for him. After eating a little of his breakfast Allen went to his study which was more of a studio than a study as it was littered with drawings and paintings. He sat at the desk setting to start a new sketch of a butterfly. More often than not Allen's sketches and paintings were of butterflies. It wasn't that Allen himself liked butterflies so much, it was someone else who did.
Around noon Allen got a call from his best friend saying that he and three others were getting together for lunch and that Allen should go too. After the phone call Allen left his study washing the lead off of his hands from his sketch before leaving the house.
Lavi Bookman, Yu Kanda, Lenalee Lee and Road Kamelot were all at a diner eating and chatting away. Well Kanda didn't do too much talking but still. When Allen joined them at the table everyone, except Kanda, greeted him. Allen smiled at them all as he sat down.
"So Al-chan how have you been?" Lavi smiled brightly at Allen. Lavi, Lenalee, Kanda and Allen had all been best friends since pre school so they were all rather close, more like a family than anything.
"I uh... I've been good. Busy with some art work that I of course would never be able to sell." Allen smiled softly at Lavi who' bright and happy attitude could always cheer Allen up. "How about you?"
"I've just about finished my next book so that's really exciting. Oh also mine and Road's four year anniversary is coming up!" Lavi cheered smiling brightly at Road who sat next to him holding his hand their fingers laced together.
"Aw you remembered!" Road cooed hugging Lavi overjoyed. Those two were the most adorable couple Allen had ever seen.
"Of course my dear!" Lavi hugged Road back showering her in love and affection which made Allen quickly look down at his menu so he could pick something for lunch and not have to see the happy couple. Of course Kanda caught the depression in Allen's eyes.
"I don't understand you Moyashi." Kanda finally spoke earning everyone's attention. Sighing Allen closed his menu looking to Kanda.
"We aren't talking about that Kanda. Not now. Not ever. And certainly not here." Allen said politely before looking back to the menu.
"Talk about what?" Lenalee asked sweetly as she took a break from her salad to look at Allen.
"Nothing. It not something I wish to speak about especially not in front of Road. o let it go." Allen closed his menu again giving up on finding something to eat. His appetite lately hadn't been so good.
"What don't you want to say in front of Road? She's a grown lady." Lenalee pressed the issue making Allen sigh in irritation glaring slightly at Lenalee. He brushed some stray strands of hair that was more loose than others of the messy bun. He always had his hair in a messy bun.
"I don't want to say how her Uncle is cheating on his wife but I refuse to leave him." Allen growled softly at Lenalee. Road stared wide eyed at Allen in shock.
"Wait...What?" Road slowly released Lavi sitting properly in her seat.
"Wait, Tyki is cheating on you?" Lenalee asked shocked at the statement.
"Yes. Has been for a year or so now. Please Road... don't say anything to anyone. Please." Allen begged Road pleading with his eyes. Road stared at Allen tears in her eyes.
"Oh... Allen. You're a fool..." Road whispered closing her eyes. Tears rolled down her cheeks making Lavi pull her into another hug this time rubbing her back trying to comfort his girlfriend.
"So people keep telling me. But I love him so... I simply have to wait and try to work things out with him... He was just scared I think at first and once we lost that physical connection we just fell apart..." Allen smiled softly at Road trying to comfort his niece. Road peeked at Allen before she sat up reaching across the table slapping Allen as hard a she could. Everyone was shocked that Road had slapped Allen. Blinking a few times Allen slowly turned his head to look at Road still in shock. He had never ever been slapped by a girl in his life. And Road really wasn't the type of person to hit others.
Slowly Allen stood up from his seat tears of shame in his eyes. The one person more than anyone that it hurt to be scolded by was Road. Road was in a strange way like a mother to Allen so to see how disappointed she was in him really hurt.
"Road I am so sorry..." Allen said softly before leaving the diner in a rather rushed clearly ashamed manner.
"I wonder who could possibly make Tyki cheat on Allen... Allen is a good wife." Lenalee murmured as she started to eat her salad.
