It's my first story ever. I'm creating this to learn writing and to improve my English at the same time.
Time for planning has finished, now all they wanted to do was to spill enemies blood. Whole army marched in silence as it has been decided to attack under the cover of night. Clarke took a deep breath of the crisp air, filling nostrils with pleasing mixture of forest smells. She walked together with Lexa, with her people and complete strangers, with those who had simply a common foe. She felt uncertain about incoming few hoursā¦unlike her companion. The Commander was glowing with confidence, her readiness to die in this final battle somehow impressed Clarke. As the leader she had to, it was an inspiration for this army, only Lexa kept all twelve clans united. 'At least for a little longer' a thought came to Clarke's mind. Maybe their own alliance between the Grounders and Sky People was crucial for assault of Mount Weather. But only all clans united together stood a chance in this war. The war that rapidly gained momentum after the 100 fell to the Earth.
'Split up.' Lexa said to Indra, dragging Clarke's attention back to reality. She looked around to realize that everyone knew what to do. Indra as planned left the main force with vital group of best warriors to get into Mount Weather through tunnels. The same tunnels that where Clarke escaped with Anya, and where Lincoln helped Bellamy to go opposite way, into an underground complex. Is Bellamy alright after he turned off the acid fog? That question got stuck in Clarke's head. Lexa was right that she cared for him, the lie about his sister made her feel guilty and not like herself. But was she the same scared teenager that got sent to the Earth together with 99 other young criminals? Will Bellamy understand what she had to do, what she had to sacrifice to have any chance against their enemy? She thanked god that at least Octavia was all right, this one death he'd never forgive her. But his younger sister was still far away from being safe. Indra's group was equipped with little gifts from Raven to get past reapers without any problems. Still, they had very dangerous task and Clarke was worried mostly about her since she decided to go with Indra. Clarke tried to give her a safer place in this battle, but Octavia decided to do what Indra's Second had to. Still, Clarke knew it was not the only reason, the younger Blake couldn't stand being around Clarke anymore. But it was not the time to think about this, Clarke tried to clear her mind and focus on friends trapped inside the mountain.
Finally, after a few more minutes of moving through unknown part of the forest army reached Lexa's scouts. They were sent to go ahead and see if there wasn't any ambush waiting just outside the main entrance. Lexa kept going as she seen a sign from one of them that it is clear. Clarke was worried that Mount Weather may send snipers to take them out but acid fog must make them too confident. It worked for so many years it was easy to start thinking nothing can get past such an effective weapon.
After a moment whole army stood in front of the giant, metal door. Grounders were prepared for it, they took four thick ropes and started to tie them up to their last obstacle before they would overrun whole complex like a plague, killing every enemy without hesitation. Clarke was worried that few ropes is not going to be enough, so Raven gave her blowtorches, just in case. She didn't even realize when everything was ready and there were 10 strongest grounders holding each rope ready to pull when ordered. Lexa nodded and all of them moved in same moment stretching the ropes. And again, and again. Every pair of eyes were pointed on the door, waiting impatiently to get in and settle the score with their almost eternal enemy. Soon their breath has become heavier and Clarke wanted to stop them just when the giant piece of metal finally cracked. Although it didn't move even an inch it was a sign that gave all 40 grounders twice much power than they had before.
Lexa smiled fiercely and for Clarke in this moment looked like a total stranger. She couldn't understand why it struck her so much but it did. Clarke knew the Commander girl was different in many ways from the people she was leading, but after all she was still born and raised as a warrior and it probably always will stay like this. Soon doors started to slowly open making at the same time terrifying noise that probably warned whole Mount Weather. Lexa climbed up on a rock so everyone could see her giving final speech, not caring anymore about being quiet.
'Have no mercy!' she shouted loudly, her voice spreading through forest like a roar of some savage beast. 'It is time to avenge those who died and to save those who are still alive! Blood must be paid with blood!' she finished and shouted as loud as she could, after a moment all grounders accompanied her.
Finally the doors were wide open 'See, told you we don't need your backup plan.' Lexa said to Clarke proud of herself and moved forward with raised sword, not waiting for response. Front of the army was composed from best grounders and Sky People armed in a guns to kill any threat from distance, they were led by Lexa, Kane and of course Clarke.
Inside it was completely dark, and with every meter further Clarke felt more and more nervous. They walked carefully taking step by step, ready to begin hell on earth. But it was completely empty, if Clarke wouldn't be inside before, she might think right now that this place has always been abandoned. Something was wrong. Suddenly a bright beam of light from outside lit up whole corridor that they just walked in. Second after they could also hear similar sound that froze their blood.
'Missileā¦' Clarke said more to herself than anyone else. She couldn't believe there might be something worse than acid fog, yet Mount Weather managed to surprise them again. How their leader Dante would come up with such an extreme idea. It was act of desperation or the beginning of perfectly prepared plan.
Lexa despite this sudden change of situation still managed to keep calm and rushed forward shouting 'Inside! Everyone run!'. So they did, they ran inside maybe into something way worse. Clarke felt like she was walking into opened mouth of a hungry beast. Mouth that's gonna close and chew them like a little snack.
