The fire within me grew stronger.
She lay in a glassy dome twenty feet away, looking peaceful. I ran towards it, hoping to find a weakness in the exterior. My eyes ran over it, finding nothing. When my hand touched it, it was cold. Ice.
I heard footsteps behind me. I turned to find a tall, muscular figure. His hazel eyes dug into mine, anger clear in them. I looked down to his right hand. It was twisted and black from a major burn.
"You know you didn't have to do this." I said, holding back the burning energy inside me.
He only grunted. I could only watch as his eyes turned icy blue. Ice envoloped his right hand as his left hand formed a fist. I had no choice. I let my eyes turn bright red. My hands opened and fire burst out as I regreted this ever happened.
