Blossom Duo: Is the world out to get me?
1.
Zhang Jiale is so confused. What happened to his horrendous luck? Why didn't it start raining the moment he walked out in only a tee and shorts? Why was he able to find his phone in under an hour? Why didn't his food burn like usual? How come the bus didn't break down for once?
What is wrong with the world today?
Freaked out by his abnormally good luck, he itches to lock himself in his house, but another part of him longs to roam the streets. He rarely goes out more than necessary because his bad luck would land him in troublesome situations with a flick of the hand.
He glances at his dwindling stash of art supplies. He might as well take advantage of his luck. Who knows, he might run into a sale at his favorite art supply store.

Sun Zheping wonders why the world hates him today. The moment he walked up to the curb, he got splashed by muddy water and had to walk back to change, only to have to return to change again because the sprinklers surrounding his apartment complex malfunctioned and turned on—drenching him.
Sighing, he runs his fingers through his hair and heads to work. The bus leaves just as he reaches the bus stop, so he ends up walking all the way, barely making it in time for his shift. He is the last one to arrive though, which meant he gets saddled with the more annoying tasks like shelving all the new paint cans. Frowning, he gets to work, but when he climbs the ladder, he doesn't see that a screw is loose. The ladder collapses beneath him, and he falls back and lands on what feels like a sack of bones. Groaning, he looks down and sees pink paint in all sorts of shades splattered all over his body. He then hears another voice...coming from beneath him? He sits up and realizes he's splayed out across someone's lap.

"You know, this was not what I meant when I asked the heavens to send me the greatest blessing I will get on my absurdly lucky day," Zhang Jiale says, eyes still closed. "Why give me back my bad luck all of a sudden?" He wipes away the wet substance covering his face and blinks slowly. His eyes focus on Sun Zheping, who is still seated in his lap. "Oh, nevermind."
Sun Zheping, hearing 'greatest blessing' and seeing exactly whose lap he's on...flushes a brilliant red. Why is it the guy he's had a crush on since the moment the long-haired man walked through the door and tripped into his arms?! He's pretty sure Zhang Jiale doesn't even know his name. He scrambles off Zhang Jiale's lap and stands up. Still bright red, he offers a hand to the downed Zhang Jiale but yanks too hard. He stumbles back, slamming his body into the shelf behind him. Zhang Jiale throws his hands out and stops himself from colliding with Sun Zheping, but he's now trapping Sun Zheping against the wall of paint cans.
"Uh..." Staring at the scene before him, Tang Hao doesn't know what to say. Sun Zheping and Zhang Jiale glance over and freeze. What an awkward scene to stumble upon.
