Sam Mason walked eagerly down the foot path towards the house of her best friend Danny Fenton while carrying a box with a ribbon, when she reached the house she knocked on the door and was answered by Danny's sister Jazz.
"Hey Sam" said Jazz
"Hey Jazz, where's Danny?" asked Sam
"He's up on the roof" said Jazz as Sam headed up to the roof, when she got up there she found Danny sitting near the edge and staring at the setting sun
"SUPRISE! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!" yelled Sam causing Danny to jump
"Sam you startled me, but what anniversary are you talking about" asked Danny
"Danny don't remember what happened one year ago today" said Sam
Danny thought for a moment and shook his head when nothing came to mind.
"Danny I know your clueless sometimes but don't you remember; parent's lab, ghost portal, a little accident" said Sam as Danny just got it.
"Of course the day I became Danny Phantom how could I forget" said Danny as he slapped his forehead
"Which is why I made a cake" she opened up the box to reveal a chocolate cake with the DP symbol on it in white frosting
"Wow that looks good" said Danny as Sam cut into it and gave him a slice
"Mmmmm this is good Sam" said Danny
The two sat there had ate the cake while starring at the sunset which gradually turned into night, after finishing his third slice Danny put his plate down and looked at Sam.
"Sam I want to thank you"
"Oh the cake Danny it was no big" said Sam
"No, for what happened a year ago with you convincing me to go into the portal"
Sam looked puzzled "Why do you want to thank me for that?"
"Because if I didn't go through that portal our lives would be just homework and getting stuffed into lockers, because of you our lives are so much more exciting a bit dangerous at times but having ghost powers is the best thing that ever happened to me and it's all thanks to you so thank you"
At this point Sam was blushing like mad but her blush got even deeper when Danny gave her a kiss on the cheek but he then realized what he just did.
"Um Sam I'm sorry for thaMMMPH" he didn't get to finish what he was saying as Sam grabbed him and started to kiss him, when she released from him she giggled at his flushed, dazed look
"Wow...Sam" he managed to say
"I guess I should apologize for that" said Sam trying to hide the fact she was blushing
Danny then stood up and turned into his alter ego Danny Phantom "Come on we're going for a ride"
Sam smiled and got up and wrapped her arms around Danny's waist as he did the same as they took off
They flew up into the night sky and got a great view of the city Sam then looked and saw the big white glowing orb looking down at them.
"Wow looked at that moon isn't it the most beautiful thing you've ever seen" Sam said.
Danny looked at Sam "Second most" he replied
Sam knew were that comment was directed and immediately started blushing again but she didn't care as they leaned in for a passionate kiss, Sam couldn't think of a more romantic situation then floating underneath a star filled sky being in the arms of the man of her dreams.
They parted from their kiss and looked at each other and smiled
"Happy Anniversary Sam"
"Happy Anniversary Danny"
