A new family arrives
A removal van pulled up in Hollyoaks village followed by a car which had a woman and a girl in it. When the car pulled up outside an empty house behind the removal fan, the occupants got out from the car. The girl was no older than Twelve, maybe thirteen years old and she was heavily pregnant and she was also wearing baggy clothing, like she was wanting to hide her pregnancy.
"Well, this is nice isn't?" the girl's mum asked, standing next to her and noticing that the teen was looking fed up "come on Faye, it's a fresh start for us."
"I can't see why we had to leave weather field, I liked it there" Faye complained "I've left all my mates behind, why did we have to move anyway?" Anna sighed and explained to the girl that she couldn't live in the same village as Owen any more, the pair of them had a huge falling out and Anna had wanted a fresh start for her and Faye.
"I'm not going to make any friends here" Faye complained "I don't know anybody round here."
"Don't worry darling, I'm sure you'll make some new friends. Anyway, shall we go and take a look at our new house." Anna went inside their new house and Faye went to follow her but stopped suddnely when she felt a kicking sensation in her stomach, causing her to flinch which didn't go unnoticed by Anna.
"You alright Faye?" she asked when shen oticed that the teen had her hand on her stomach.
"yeah, just abit travel sick that's all" Faye lied.
"Well I've got some painkillers in my bag if you want some" Anna offered but Faye refused and said she'll be fine before heading into the new house as the removal men began bringing all the things in. After a few hours, after everything had been unpacked and organised, Faye was sitting on her bed in her new bedroom, staring at her growing baby bump and worrying about the thought that she would soon be giving birth some time next month and how Anna would react when the baby does arrive.
"Why did this have to happen?" she whispered to herself "I'm not ready for this." Feeling fed up, faye got up from her bed and headed downstairs.
"Hey, where are you going, I'm about to start dinner" Anna said when she noticed that her pregnant teenage daughter was heading to the front door.
"I just want to have a look around the area, I need some fresh air" Faye said.
"Okay, but don't be too long" Anna told her before Faye headed out the front door. The teen was wondering around the village, taking in her new surroundings.
"Well it looks a bit nicer than weatherfield" she said to herself as she walked around the folly before heading over to the Dog and Pond where she noticed a young woman in her early Twenties talking on a mobile phone and she spoke in a Liverpudlian accent. Faye also noticed that she had a small bump on her stomach.
"Look Ste, I want you to come to the baby scan with me" Faye heard her say on the phone and Faye realized that she was also pregnant but she wasn't a Twelve, almost Thirteen year old girl keeping her pregnancy a secret. Knowing that it was rude to listen to a phone conversation, Faye walked off and headed over to the park and sat down on one of the benches.
"You're causing me alot of trouble you know" she said to her baby bump, placing her hand on it "I don't know how mum's going to react when you arrive." Suddenly, she heard a girl's voice speaking next to her.
"Anybody sitting here?." Faye looked and saw a girl who looked round about her age, maybe a little bit older with long blonde hair in pigtails.
"Be my guest" Faye said and the other girl sat down next to her and she was transfixed on Faye's baby bump "do you mind not staring at me like that?"
"Sorry, but I did notice you talking to your baby" the girl pointed out.
"How did you know I was pregnant?" Faye asked and the girl said she heard her mentioning about how her mum would react once the baby arrives.
"She doesn't know" Faye replied before the girl could ask about why she was worried about how her mum would react "I can't bring myself to tell her, I'm nearly Thirteen and I'm almost Eight months pregnant." The other girl seemed to give Faye a look of sympathy, like she knew what she was going through.
"Bet you must be scared huh?" she asked "it's tough keeping a big secret like this from your family. Worrying about how they will react when it's too late."
"And how would you know, you don't know me" Faye snapped.
"I do know what it's like to be pregnant and being to scared to tell your family" the girl told her "I'm going through the same thing as you too." Faye looked at the other girl with shock, was she telling her that she was also pregnant and keeping it a secret from her mum, just like she was.
"Wow, first I see that pregnant woman at that pub, then you tell me you're pregnant and then I arrive ready to drop, this place must be pregnant town" Faye said sarcasticly making the other girl smile a little "I'm Faye windass by the way."
"Peri Lomax" the other girl said "so when did you move here then?"
"This morning" Faye replied "I used to live in an area called Weather field but my mum had this big massive fall out with her boyfriend and couldn't stand living on the same street as him so she decided it was best if we moved and started afresh. I can't even bring myself to tell her I'm pregnant, not after that huge fall out she had with Owen." Peri couldn't help but feel sorry for Faye, the girl was only Twelve and keeping a huge secret from her mum, just like she was.
"Guess we have alot in common, two scared pregnant teenagers keeping our pregnancies a secret" she told her "I'm just glad I'm not the only one now going through this."
"Me too, I think we should become baby buddies" Faye suggested before she got a text from Anna, asking where she was "I'd better go, mum's wondering where I am."
"Okay then I'll guess I'll be seeing you around then" peri said as Faye walked off, smiling at her. When she got home, Anna noticed that the teen seemed a little more cheered up since this morning.
"Have a nice walk around, you've been gone a while" Anna pointed out.
"Sorry, I got talking to this girl"Faye replied.
"Oh have you made a new friend?" Anna asked "what's she called then?"
"Peri, she seems nice, I think she's a little bit older than me though but she might be my age, I didn't ask how old she was" Faye explained.
"Well I'm glad you've made yourself a new friend" Anna replied, kissing the top of her head "right come on, Dinner's ready." Later that night, Faye sat on her bed in her onesie now knowing that she had a new friend who was experience the same issue she was going through and at the same time, Peri was thinking the same thing.
