OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
It had been hard to see that, to see Nathan get shot. She was shocked besides that, seeing Peter alive and well, standing next to his brother, and then cradling his brother in his arms after getting shot. There was also officer Matt Parkman whom she had been interrogated by once, and had seen much later on in Kirby Plaza.
Her mother had been surprisingly understanding and allowed her to catch a flight to Odessa, Texas, and to them. The plane touched down ahead of schedule, but still not fast enough for her. She rushes to the hospital, the only one in the area, wondering if Peter hadn't brought his brother somewhere else but the lady receptionist said that indeed a Nathan Petrelli was gheld here, but that only family could see him--and his brother was with him now. Before she can speak, a voice behind her does.
"She is family. She's Nathan's daughter."
Her eyes widen as she immediately recognizes that voice.
"Peter--"
His face was closed off, telling her nothing. He grabs her arm, leading her away (she had to hold back a gasp as his hand touches her skin.)
"Come on." Peter said, leading her away from the front desk and the curious look of some. It was silent for a few moments as he led her to an elevator and all the way up until they exit it, many more floors up, and start to walk down a long empty hallway. Just as they were about to turn the corner, Claire gets pushed up against the wall and feels a shock when Peter leans in and kisses her, almost desperately.
She lets out a startled moan, eyes wide and kisses him back fervently. All the forbidden thoughts she had ever thought of Peter had come to a head now and she was living the dream she had had for so long now. He pulls back from her a moment later, too soon in her opinion, and looks deeply into her eyes.
"Let's go, Claire." he says softly. He leads her into Nathan's room, where her bio-dad sat up in his bed, looking slightly tired but he smiles widely at them both when they enter and she flushes at what looked to be a knowing look in his eyes.
"You're finally awake." said Peter, looking pleased.
Nathan smirks at his brother. "Like you didn't know I was already."
Peter laughs and it was like the sun breaking away the storm clouds.
"I've got to go make a few calls." Peter said suddenly. He glances at both of them, grinning. "Behave while I'm gone." She blushes.
She walks over to Nathan, the door closing behind her, and he smiles softly at her.
"I was so worried about you." she whispered. "I thought you were dead...I thought..."
His eyes soften as he looks at her. He grabs her arm and pulls her forward, leaning into kiss her gently on the lips. Her eyes stare into his in shock, but she kisses him back all the same. So thankful that he was still alive.
She pulls back from him and he turns to look at the empty corner.
"I'm okay. We all are. Aren't we, Pete?"
Peter materializes, apparently having just turned invisible instead of leaving the room. Peter grins.
"Definitely." he looks at Claire. "And we're both here for you; we love you, Claire, as much as we love one another."
She gulps against the sudden wave of emotion that threatened to overwhelm her. She turns to Nathan.
"Is he--"
"He speaks for me too, Claire." Nathan said softly.
"I love you too." She said, voice hoarse with emotion. "Both of you. So much--"
After that, they didn't need words.
