Losing him was blue like I'd never known...
Korra cried her blue eyes dry. Mako was Asami's and she couldn't do anything about it. He would never see her as a true woman, she was always too rough, the complete opposite of Asami. She wasn't girly and gentle, she was loud and hot headed, and she lost the only boy she truly loved.
Missing him was dark gray all alone...
A dark gray sky covered Korra's world, she had watched them pledge their vows to each other, promise to be by each others side through sickness, through health, till death do them part, and all Korra could do was sit back and watch, silently shedding small tears. She missed feeling like Mako was always going to be there to catch her when she fell, she knew he was never going to be there again.
Forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you never met...
The years went by, Republic City was safe, Amon was defeated a long time ago, but yet things would never be the same for the Avatar. Mako and Asami had moved back into Sato Mansion, after she took over her father's company. Every little thing reminded her of Mako, even a the years past she felt like she would never forget him.
But loving him was red...
Bolin and Korra stood in the waiting room of the hospital until a nurse let them come into the room. Asami laid in the hospital bed holding the the baby in her arms. Mako stoof by her bed side smiling at his wife proudly. Their new baby was wrapped in a red cloth that Korra recognized, it was Mako's scarf, the scarf he had given her when she had trouble sleeping after being captured by the Equalists. She looked into Mako's eyes as she entered the room and gave him a nod congratulating him. She would always love him, she knew this in her heart, she would always remember him by his hair, his eyes, his smell, his red scarf.
Loving him was red.
