I should tell you that I don't own Supernatural characters. I only own the plot and the original characters that I write.

Randy Moss was next in line as alpha. And as next in line, he would have to get a mate.

Wolves were born with a mate but everyone else had one except Randy. Randy was 26 years old and he should have found her by now. When he turns 30 and if he still does not have a mate, the title will be passed on to his beta sister, Elodie and her mate Howard.

He knew that it wasn't anyone in his pack. He also knew that he would be able to pick up her scent if she was near. He spent every chance he got looking for her in the small town of Lawrence, Kansas. But either she wasn't in the town, or he always missed her at some point. It was like he was doomed to be alone.

As Randy walked along Main Street, he caught it. Her wonderful, captivating, beautiful scent. She smelled of smoke, warm cookies, and...blood?

His pulse quickened. Was she hurt? In trouble? He took off running in the direction of the woman that was to be his mate and it lead him to the Oriental Supermarket. He slowed down to a fast paced walk and went inside.

He followed her scent right up to where he saw her. She was the picture of complete perfection. There was no other way to describe her. Her hair was of golden waves, she looked small but something about her made him want to run away from her. That is ridiculous. She is smaller than I am.

"Excuse me, miss, but I was wondering if I could have the privilege as to knowing your name?" He put on a flirty smile. The wolf inside him wanted to sweep her off her feet and marry her on the spot.

She turned and he got a good look at her eyes. They say that eyes are the windows to the soul. Well if that was the case, her soul was the most beautiful, captivating, enchanting, marvelous soul on this Earth. Her eyes were the most beautiful shade of green. Randy would have been glad to stare into her eyes all day, every day. It wasn't until he saw her mouth moving that he realized she was speaking to him.

"I'm sorry. What did you say?" He already made a fool of himself. I am such an idiot!

Her green eyes grew cold, "No, I will not go out with you. No, I will not give you a chance. And no, I will not give you my name. I am happily married and I am not looking for an affair. Sorry if I am rude, but I have to find my husband and son."

As Randy watched her, he saw a man with dark hair and and a small boy walk up to her. Randy saw the man kiss her and the little boy scrunch up his face in disgust. He already liked that boy, even if he was his mates son by another man.

As he left the store, he saw Her, the man, and the kid get into black 1967 Chevrolet Impala. At least they have good taste in cars.

When he got home his mother knew that something was wrong. That's the thing about mothers. They will always know that something is wrong if you act the slightest bit different. Thankfully, his mother decided to wait until he was alone to start with the interrogation.

"What happened today?" Her soft brown eyes bore into him.

"I found her mom. I found my mate." How could I tell her?

"And?" Her brown eyes searched his own.

"I lost her. Well, technically she was never mine."

"What do you mean you lost her? It's she dead? Was she kidnapped?" His mother's worry and concern ment the world to him. She was going to be heartbroken.

"No. She. Well she's. She's married to someone else." He told her everything. What she looked like, her husband, her son, what her sent smelled like. When he got to the part about the blood, his mother stopped him.

"Wait, you're saying that she had blood on her scent?" Is mother looked worried and she was very laid back about most things.

"Yes. Why, are you concerned about that?"

"Randy, if a human has blood on their scent, it means that they are a Hunter of supernatural beings. Your mate, not only already has a family of her own, but she will kill you if she ever finds out you are a werewolf."

"Can I look at the file on hunters to see if I could find her?" My precious is a Hunter?

"Son..."

"I just want to know her name. Please, mother." He even pulled out the puppy eyes.

She gave up the staring contest. "Be my guest. And by the way, that was a rotten trick you pulled."

Randy smirked and went to his father's study where the files were kept.

Randy looked through the entire file until he found her picture in Sam Campbell's file. Sam Campbell was a very experienced Hunter until he died a few years ago. He had one daughter, Mary, who's status was unknown.

Mary, what a beautiful name for a beautiful woman.

Randy then put everything back and left without anyone noticing his absence.

He let his wolf take over in order to track Mary down. Then he regained control before doing something that he would regret. He could hear her laugh. His ears were highly sensitive when he wanted to listen in on anything from meetings to secrets being told.

"He even heard Mary tell John, that's his name!, that she was pregnant. His wolf mentally cried to the moon and Randy's heart felt as if it was ripped to shreds.

Randy Moss looked over to the cozy home and swore to protect Mary's family to the best of his ability. He may hate John with a passion, but he could sense that he would never hurt Mary. He may not be able to have her to love and to hold, but she would have the man she chose to spend her life with. I could live with that, how about you?

The wolf inside him howled as an agreement and as a warning to all creatures of the supernatural that this house was protected.

"It wasn't until November 2, 1983, when Randy Moss was dealing with a couple of Hunters, Mary Winchester died in her home pinned to the ceiling with a bloody gash across her stomach. She then burst into flames while her oldest son carried his baby brother out of the house where their father met them after trying to save his wife. Since that night, Randy's sister Elodie took over the pack. Randy left, changed his name, and married a human and had a daughter which he named, Madison. And she had no idea of her heritage. Until she met two brothers, and fell in love with the youngest.
