"I can't believe our luck!" Soraya exclaimed as she dropped the box labeled 'Junk' on the hardwood floor. "Sarcastically speaking or not?" Her cousin Ariane asked as she appeared behind her in the doorway, another cardboard box in her hands, she set it on top of the first and bent over, trying to stretch her aching back. "Both, I suppose." Soraya said, rotating her right shoulder. "First, the band breaks up. Then we're told we're moving to England, and then we find out that we live where there aren't any signs of human life, fast food places, a place for out music and worst of all we must be the only kids for miles!" "And what else?" Ari said, knowing she wasn't finished "Well, on the plus side, we live beside each other, these frikkin' houses are huge, I've got the whole attic to myself nothing broke when the loaders moved it. And..." She placed a finger against her lips as if to say "Don't tell." and moved towards the wall. "I found this earlier today..." She pushed a section of the wall inward, revealing a tunnel. "If I'm correct," she said as Ari looked at it, her mouth open, "This tunnel will take you straight to your room. And, if you travel fifteen paces there's a little hidden room just big enough to hide some stuff and hang out there." "Awesome..." Ari said in awe as she inspected the tunnel. Soraya nodded and backed away from it to let her cousin have a better look. "You know..." Ariane said after she'd looked over the tunnel and had marked it as safe to venture in,"At least they didn't find out that it was me who screwed the school computers with that virus" "Yeah and better frikkin' thank your lucky stars. Hadith they'd found out, we'd be in worst shit then the 'Experiment'." Ari whistled. "Yep, probably much worst…" "Damn straight." Soraya said "Don't forget the guy that you told to go fuck his brother after he asked for your number, then that e-mail that stated that he really did. Then, you go and blame it on the computer club!" "Who else can I blame?" Ari whined. "Yourself for one…" Soraya stared "Okay, let's not go there capeesh?" "Yeah, yeah…" she said, waving her hand. She walked to one of the many windows in her room and leaned against the sill with a sigh. "You know," Ariane said as she joined her, "It may not be that bad after all, living her I mean. We could start over with our lives…" Soraya sighed and nodded. "Yeah, it is a nice place, friendly people… maybe we can start over" "That's the way to look at things…c'mon, the minute we dump your garbage we can start on mine, I'll even race you to the moving van." Ari said with a smile. Snapping out of her thoughts Soraya nodded and took off for the door without another word. "HEY!" Ariane called after her as she raced down the two flights of stairs after her cousin, "I DIDN'T SAY GO!"
