Chapter 1 The Proposal
I stood outside waiting for Giovanni to answer the door. This is the day I have been putting off for an entire month. Me and Zatanna have been dating for three years, but out of the team we are tied for second. Wally and Artemis have already gotten married, while Connor and Megan and Kalder and Raquel just started dating.
" Dick, you're here, Zatanna will be right out." said Giovanni
" Thanks Gio, tell her I'll be in the car." I replied
My car, courtesy of my mentor and father-figure, Bruce Wayne, is a 2021 Aston Martin Vanquish. The car door opened and there she was sitting, in the seat, Zatanna Zatara.
" Ready to go, Dick."
" Yeah Zee, let's go, shall we"
So we headed down the street of Gotham, to a good restaurant near Wayne Tech, called Frontera Grill. After we ordered and ate, I paid the check and we went for a walk in a nearby park.
" Zee, I need to ask you something"
" What is it Dick?"
As I kneel unto to the thick park floor I realize what I am really about to do.
" Zatanna Zatara," I say with love in my voice, "will you marry me?"
She covers her mouth and starts crying, why are girls so emotional.
" Yes Dick, I will marry you."
