Prologue: A change in the winds
Ikari Gendo shot a short glance at the two people beside him. He loved one of them, but only felt hatred against the other. He sighed and got quickly dressed. He had planned it so long, but now he really didn't want to. Sure, he leaved somebody he hated, but what about the other one? He loved her so much, but now he runned away from her. Maybe, he could come back someday... no, that was impossible. Quick, yet silent, Gendo opened the door. Then he left the one he loved, and the one one he flet hatred to. But just as the door closed behind him, he saw two shining blue eyes, the eyes of Ikari Shinji.
The woman let out a yelp as she read the last line on the paper. Tears ran down her cheeks. Her son looked at her with his serious blue eyes. She shivered. The eyes, it felt like they where looking right trough her soul.
''Gendo-senpai has left, hasn't he?'' the boy said. Even trough Gendo was his father, he had always called him Gendo-senpai or Ikari-sensei. Like they where strangers. She smiled at him.
''Yes, Shinji. He have'
''He didn't want to leave, mother. He did it because... he wanted you to be safe'
''Safe? What do you mean, Shinji?'' His mother said but the boy, Shinji, ignored her and pointed at an envelope.
''That's the address to our new house mother'' he said, then leaved the kitchen. His mother looked after him. Somewhere, maybe in the darkness of her heart, someting said her that Shinji was the one who slowly was the one whom distroyed the only family she ever had.
Ikari Yui looked up at the dark sky. It was exactly two years since the last time she had seen her houseband, and that had been years filled with fear. She could remember how her son had killed a bird without even blink or even touch the bird. She remembered how many times they had changed identity, and home, just because of her sons mystic powers. If anyone found out at this place, they had to leave again. As always, they would probably have to leave again in two weeks... Suddenly, her clotes begin to burn. A voice raised though the silent night.
''Hello, Yui'' The flames filled her body with pain, but Yui didn't scream.
''Shinji...forgive me...'' she whispered as tears runned down her cheeks.
Ten blocks away, a certain seven year old boy suddenly looked up at the darkening sky. In his mind, he saw how his mother, the only one he ever could hold on to, was burning.
''Mother...'' he said, then he diseppeared in the darkness. That was the last thing anyone heard about Ikari Shinji.
Well, that was fun wasn't it?
