Chrome nervously looks around the Vongola base, looking for Hibari. She runs into Kusakabe before she ran into Hibari. Kusakabe look at Chrome and smiles, "Chrome-chan, how are you doing?"

Chrome bows her head, "I…I'm doing good, thanks for asking Kusakabe-san…it's all thanks to Hibari-san for saving me….I never got to thank him…"

Kusakabe smile becomes a little nervous, "Well….Kyo-san right now isn't the one that saved you…."

Chrome shakes her head, "I still want to thank him…." She looks up at Kusakabe with sad eyes, "You'll…..let me right?"

Kusakabe nods, "Of course I would Chrome-chan!" He starts to walk, "I'll take you to him then."

Chrome smiles shyly, happy, "Thank you…."

"Kyo-san!" Kusakabe slides the door to Hibari's private part of the base and walks in, Chrome shyly walking in behind him. Kusakabe sees Hibari right away and walks over to him, "Kyo-san, Chrome-chan wants to talk to you."

Hibari looks at him, "…alright. I'll talk to her in private then." Kusakabe nods before walking out, closing the door quietly behind him. Hibari looks at the pond, finding it calming, "What did you want to tell me?" He says without looking at Chrome.

"Ano…." She nervously plays with her hands.
Hibari pats the area next to him, "If you're too nervous to tell me, sit and calm down. I hate it when people waste more of my time by being nervous."

Chrome blushes slightly and then nervously sits next to Hibari, "Ano…."

"…..hm?"

"T…thank you…."

"For what?"

"Saving my life…."

Hibari looks at her now, she was nervously playing with her hands in her lap. Her purple hair covered her eye patch, but it did nothing to hide her blush. He lowers his gaze to her pale slender neck and thin shoulders. She always wore her school uniform, but then again, he was too. Her green outfit revealed her stomach and much of her thin legs. Hibari forces himself to look away, "Hmph….I couldn't have anyone dying on Namimori ground…"

Chrome looks up at him, a soft whimper escapes from her mouth as tears starts to form in her eyes, "So you would have saved anyone? If I wasn't on Namimori….you wouldn't save me?" Hibari flinches at her question, but says nothing. Chrome shakes next to him as she tries to hold back her tears, but her voice is shaky and she seemed to choke on her words, "Do I mean nothing at all to you?" Thin tears slide down her fair skin.

Hibari turns to Chrome and suddenly kisses her. Chrome's eye widens, but she closes it as he deepens the kiss. Slowly, Hibari pulls away and she almost whimpers at the loss. Hibari glares at her, "You mean more to me than you think, don't go around assuming things."

Chrome blushes deeply and nods before looking down at her hands, "Okay….."

Hibari sighs softly, gently taking her into his arms, "You have to live, even if you don't want to…..For me. I'm sure that's what my older self thought too….I'm sure in the future we were close…."

Chrome nervously says, "Maybe close enough to be lovers?" She turns red at her question.

Hibari smirks and gently kisses her again, "Yes….maybe even close enough to be lovers."

Chrome looks up at him shyly, "Do…..do you think we could start….now?"

Hibari chuckles, gently laying her down and kissing her softly again, "Yes, we can."

Chrome wraps her arms around Hibari and smiles, her purple eye shining with happiness, "Thank you Hibari-san….I love you so much."

"I love you too Chrome…" He kisses her deeply.
