Jay looked down…looking down to the horrified people below. They waited for so long, to see what would happen next. But nothing happened. He couldn't move his legs…he couldn't think. He didn't even know why he was there anymore.

He clenched his fists, thinking what life really was. He saved the world, kept his friends protected, but nothing was really happening anymore. Jay couldn't stand the pain though…how depressed he was, how his life was completely diluted.

It was his turn to become the bad boy. Jay had broken Theresa's heart, ditched his friends, and most of all, he broke everyone's trust. Everything went wrong.

He couldn't forget the look on Theresa's face that day…all the hatred, the cold look she would give him. But Jay deserved it. He felt as if he did something unspeakably evil. But what broke his heart the most, was Theresa.

"Oh no, we've got to do something!" Archie cried. Theresa's eyes had opened widely.

"This is my entire fault. If I just talked to him instead of looking at him so coldly, he wouldn't be up there – about to commit suicide!" She exclaimed. Atlanta frowned.

"It's no your fault. Theresa, you've got to go up there and convince him to not jump! Talk to him!" She yelled. Theresa nodded, and ran.

Jay looked up, seeing the sun starting to set; it's blazing red colours filled the sky, with the light starting to fade against the horizon. Flashbacks rolled through his mind…when everyone found out about his secret, when he stole, drugged, smoked…and how Theresa yelled at him, and the slap she whipped. Just then, the door opened from behind him.

"Jay! Please…don't do this! Don't! It's not right…I shouldn't have done anything to you! I'm sorry…I'm sorry I yelled at you…slapping you across the face…I-I'm sorry…" Theresa said, breaking down into tears. Jay didn't even turn his head, barely listening.

"Jay! Please listen to me! You didn't deserve this! I'm so sorry…" she sobbed, trailing off from her sentence. Jay finally turned around, still on the ledge.

"Why do you care?" He asked blankly. Theresa got up, slowly started walking towards him.

"Because I didn't mean it – any of it!" she cried. Jay sighed.

"It seemed pretty real to me…especially the slap," he informed. Theresa broke down again.

"Don't do this. I swear, when I slapped you, I…I cried in my room. Not because of what you did, but because of me. The truth is…when I first met you…I…" Theresa couldn't finish the sentence.

"What happened?" He asked anxiously.

"I…fell in love with you. Yes, I admit that. So please, don't jump…don't commit suicide. Just turn back to yourself…your real self. Please!" Theresa pleaded. Jay stood there, thinking.

Should he? What if she didn't mean it? What if something worse happened? What if he didn't something like that again?

Just then, he spotted a man behind Theresa. He gasped, jumping, and pushing Theresa to the ground. A shot rang out, and the murmurs of the crowd became silent.

Theresa came up, seeing Jay kicking the man. She ran up to him, stopping both of them.

"W-who are you?" She asked, holding on Jay's arm for dear life. The man chuckled, picked his gun up, and a second shot rang out.

"THERESA!" he yelled…his voice echoing through the city. Atlanta and the rest of the gang watched in horror as Theresa's body fell over the building. Atlanta screamed, her starting to sob in Archie's arms.

Jay looked over the edge, and there she was. There was a young body, lying on the pavement, with a pool of blood oozing out slowly. Jay looked back, and the man was gone. Jay collapsed to the ground, dumbfounded. He then found himself in tears, regretting everything.

He regretted paying that man…to shoot her.
