I realized that something was different with Kurt about two weeks ago. He came to school in what looked like Finn's old clothes. I didn't think anything of it, I mean, Kurt's always trying to make a fashion statement.

But then I noticed him staring at me. A lot. And it wasn't his usual "Diva Off" stare. It was like the way I stared at Finn.

He even started talking about guy things. Like football. "I hope they make it to the Super Bowl" I overheard him talking to Mike Chang.

Then, I saw a girl give him her number. "Call me" she had said. And he winked at her. The girl looked like she was about to melt!

Was Kurt….straight? No. I mean, he's more feminine than half the girls at this school. At least...he was.

Every day at lunch time, I bring my lunch and take it to the library. That's when the librarian has her lunch break, so she goes to the teacher's lounge. I'm usually the only one in there. I like it like that. I get peace and quiet, away from everyone in the school. I started that freshmen year, when nobody would let me sit at their table.

Most of the time, I don't eat a lot. It gives me time to roam around the biography section. Reading those stories makes me want my dream more than ever. Especially Barbra's.

I was sitting on the floor, reading Barbra's biography, when I heard footsteps. Being my usually dramatic self, I asked who It was in a scary tone, as if I was in a horror movie. Times like these were perfect opportunities to practice my acting!

"Rachel?" It was Kurt. He was wearing a Canucks (Finn's favorite team) hat, a black t-shirt, a red and black striped sweater, skinny jeans, and black converses. A very big difference from his usual outfits which usually included a skirt.

"Hey Kurt" I smiled, and went back to my reading.

"Can we talk?" he asked, and sat down next to me.

"Sure. What about?"

"Remember when I was trying to act more like Finn to get my dad to spend more time with me?" he asked

"Yeah"

"And I started going out with Brittany…"

"Yeah. That was pretty hilarious" I giggled

"Well….we kissed. And, I liked it. Then when Blaine kissed me, It wasn't like the kiss with Brittany. In fact, it wasn't as good. His lips were really chapped. And it really got me thinking."

"About what?" I asked

"That maybe I like both. Boys and Girls" he said. I could tell he was nervous and a bit scared of what he just told me.

"Wow Kurt" was all I could say. When I looked at him, I didn't see my gay best friend. I saw a man. A man who was very cute.

"That's why I started dressing like this. If I want a girlfriend, I can't dress better than her" he said

"Is there a girl you like?" I asked. Something wanted me for him to say that he liked me.

"Yes" he blushed. He looked so cute when he blushed.

"It's…you" Kurt said. I smiled at him to let him know that the feeling was mutual.

Then, he put his hand on my cheek, and slowly leaned in for a kiss.

The kiss was amazing. Way better than Finn. Even better than Noah. My heart was beating faster than ever when he pulled away. We didn't say anything for a long time. We just stared at each other.

The bell rang, and we both jumped, frightened by the noise that brought us back to earth.

"We better go" I smiled, and stood up. I reached my hand out and helped him up. He didn't let go of my hand as we walked down the hall.

And I didn't let go of his.
